This is why I think they are not going with FIFO. Mine is a Hybrid XL with just a hitch receiver and I keep seeing orders that were made after mine that getting VINs and being scheduled. Don't get me wrong, I'm truly happy for you (and a little jealous) but it looks to me they are not doing FIFO any more.

Why should the customer, be punished for my dealer's(Koch 33 Ford BTW) mistakes? It's not like Ford or my dealer didn't have 9 months to communicate that something was wrong with my order.
I am a Koch 33 order and I have email copy of my COVP approval. I have been in contact with them numerous times and as far as I can tell they do know what they are doing. Ford just sucks at building Mavericks.

Maybe your order COVP was not done properly by your dealership and not approved thus your order will never be scheduled.

Maybe your dealership hardly gets any allocations.

Maybe you should actually find out from your dealership why.

You definitely had a far different experience than I had.

I was quoted 4-6 months when I ordered in November. They then called me two weeks later to take the SIBL Lux package and switch it to the DIBL otherwise "it could delay my order." I waited a few weeks then made the switch.

Come March I still wasn't scheduled even though they were scheduling well past the 6 month mark. I called them and I was hung up on. They later emailed me saying that I should be scheduled "soon."

After waiting another month with zero communication, I called and was rudely told "oh well at least you aren't like our Bronco orders who have been waiting two years."

All this while I watched orders from December and January WITH the same constraints as me get scheduled and already get delivered.

Meanwhile, I BEGGED the dealer to push their regional rep to find out why my order hasn't been scheduled.

If you're sitting on $1000 of MY money for three months PAST when you told me I would have my truck and you still don't have a clue when my truck will be built, let alone delivered, you're not running a dealership, you're running a Ponzi scheme.

PS. Waiting on the Maverick is going to cost me at least $2k in the higher interest rates and other vehicles going up in price.

I’m fairly certain you can have a DORA without getting COVP’d.
Yes you can have a DORA but if you are not COVP approved you will never be scheduled as Ford does not consider it a valid order.

Exactly. Having a DORA isn’t enough to illustrate that your order was successfully input.

Sounds like a lot more people are getting build dates in the last couple days. Don’t give up.

I've been deadline directly with the sales manager, Bill Kammetler, the whole time. He's been pretty responsive to my requests and seems to have a fairly good idea of what's happening. Sure, there are times when I know something before he does as a result of this forum, but I know for a fact that they are getting some Mavericks scheduled and built and delivered. Sadly, my January order is not among them, but at this point I am OK with getting pushed to MY23.

I don't know if you've ever spoken with Bill directly, but if not, I'd suggest perhaps reaching out. Honestly, there is nothing he can do to force Ford to build your truck. But at the very least, he ought to be able to provide you with a copy of your COVP approval and let you know where your order stands relative to other orders at the dealership.

Also, FWIW, I only made a $500 deposit. And you do realize it's fully refundable, right? I have that from Bill in writing, and I can cancel anytime and get my money back.

My deposit minus $100 to keep the order on the books has been refunded. My COVP has been accepted. My only interactions with Bill have been via email, but my interactions with Michael Hood have been completely unprofessional (he's the one who said I should be thankful I'm not waiting on a Bronco order).

Honestly, if I ordered right before the banks closed, my opinion might have been different. But to be strung along with the goalpost moving with every communication, all while interest rates and car prices are going up is unprofessional and at this point literally cost me thousands of dollars.

Ford/Koch should've known by Spring if/when my truck would've been built. Instead of telling me that I might not get a '22, they kept telling me that mine would be scheduled right around the corner. And seeing trucks ordered after mine getting built/delivered, I had no reason not to believe them. Instead, I'm still throwing money into my worthless car because of their incompetence.

No, that's not it. I've talked with both customer Service and marketing and they both show me priority 02, clean, awaiting scheduling since May. I will call this week again and ping my dealer to see what's going on. Just a little frustrated and I appreciate the help.

As for the allocations, that shouldn't matter if they are doing orders in the order they were received. If they are not doing this then they are telling us one thing and doing something else.

Maybe your order COVP was not done properly by your dealership and not approved thus your order will never be scheduled.

I have a June 15 2021 order that hasn't yet gone into production. I got a VIN in May, and a scheduled production date a few weeks ago of Sept. 2, which has been pushed out to Sept. 8. It will probably get pushed out again. I have no idea why my Maverick order has been delayed so long. I'd wager to guess I have one of the longest waits of anyone on this forum. At least I'm getting a 2022.

Wow, that's pretty stunning. Do you have any other options (mudflaps, protective film, tonneau, etc?)

From my forum signature, the full configuration:
Cyber Orange XLT Lux Hybrid. Co-Pilot360. Moon roof. Rear sliding window. Floor liners w/o carpeted mats. That's it.

Yeah, saw the signature, just wondered if there was anything else holding it up. Glad you at least have a VIN and a scheduled date (even if it maybe slips again) after all the waiting!
