I would feel confident that the information was sent to dealers via internal email or some other means. But I also suspect a lot of people at dealers simply don't read those bulletins. I know sales is a tough job but I'm usually astonished at how little salespeople know about the product they are selling. And that's not just cars, its the same in almost any industry. Salespeople are taught to sell, knowing things is extra work and usually not needed so why bother.
It is a rare gem to find someone (like Tim Bartz @fordvideoguy ) who can sell, are enthusiastic about what they are selling and really try hard to have the knowledge needed. That takes commitment beyond just punching a time clock every morning.
You are correct it went out in a dealer bulletin the same day the email went out to customers. Last sentence said order banks open 8/2.

So why is it so many people at dealerships don't know anything about it? I know there is no way you can say what other dealers do, just curious if those bulletins are sent to everyone at the dealer or just a central main email address?
The breakdown in communications is real and I don't think it can be completely blamed on Ford. Even in the small company I work at people come and go, and email lists do not always get updated. Somebody always seems to be left out and doesn't get information they need. Or they just didn't bother to read the email.

Back in May when the '23 order date was announced the 8/2 was for EcoBoost and then 8/15 was for Hybrid. So, now you can order either on 8/2? (Forgive me if this has already been answered)

I worked in IT for a manufacturing company. When a offloading or onboarding request came in the email lists were updated. However HR was really poor in putting in these requests. Eventually we tied it into the payroll system so it would not be missed. However in recent years many If not most workers were "private contractors" who were not part of the payroll system and turned over alot and still needed a request being made. So it can and certainly does happen. I would think salesman have a high turnovers. Not to mention the hundreds of emails sent daily. So yes it does happen.

my experience too. I visited 4 local dealerships Saturday to ask for information. They all know nothing, seems like they won't know anything until they come into work one day and have the options in their system to place an order. Sales people seem clueless about how to sell a preorder vehicle in 2022, could be an easy way to market & sell to the cx... Have information for the cx

I understood it to be rollovers starting Aug 2nd. New orders Aug 15th that makes more sense. So most likely all orders will be open on the 2nd. Ford will mess this up. To do all on the same day would be hard on the dealers more chance for errors.
You mean more errors than my22. Thanks Ford!

On the dealer website, there is a news section on the homepage that all dealer employees have access to. They also send an email out on important dates and items (like this) to the higher personnel at each dealership. Oh, they also cover order information at the end of each month with all dealers from their Zone Rep called Wholesale. I got 3 ways I was notified on this information in 2 days.

That "announcement" was a page from the Fleet Distribution page. It was confirmed by Ford that both will open up 8/2.

Again, looks like NO ONE knows what the heck is going on, I still get "a blank look" form my dealer, which has 6-8 stores.I called Ford customer service, 2 times last week, and both times a different answer?? now looks like we have to start over and reorder a 2023 aug 2nd. (but well be kept in line)my dealer still has no clue, and ford customer service (after I give them my sales order info I have from the dealer) says "its still in the system, but not scheduled"!! when I tell them why dont the dealer know anything, customer service says "they dont know" can we drive to Mexcio and put in an order in person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as I want to order a Maverick for the vehicle it is, the Ford dealerships around me have driven me to absolutely hate the Ford brand.

Jeep was 200IQ compared to what I have experience with Ford.

Order it online from Long McArthur, Chapman, or Granger Ford. You can do a courtesy delivery to a local Ford dealer. I ordered my Maverick from Chapman, great experience, 3% under invoice. I ordered my Bronco from Long McArthur.

When all the salespeople are put in the same fish tank and told to sink or swim the motivation to do more than put food on the table is minimized.

I know of a salesperson at Long McArthur who wanted to specialize in EV's and is now the go to person for those types of vehicles. It's hard to find a dealership with low turnover, team players and positive sales managers. They're out there and it's up to the individual customer to cultivate a rapport with the people at their dealership of choice or take the risks involved with playing the field.

These are the proven three dealers who sell in volume and don't worry about how much they can bank off of a few ADM's. The smaller, shifty and shady ones are scarcely mention on the MTC, but they do have a dedicated thread on the sister Bronco 6G forum.

These three have the proven track record of not screwing with customer order vehicles. There are some local dealers here where people have said they sold the car for MSRP but I just didn't trust they would, went with Chapman which turned out to be the right choice. Got my Maverick for the price they told me.

What's a courtesy delivery? Just free delivery to your local dealer?

Any reason to do this or not do this? I guess if you just don't like your local dealer / they seem clueless eh?

I feel like it could hurt you relationship wise with your local dealer that you'd take in for warranty work and such, but idk
