What's a courtesy delivery? Just free delivery to your local dealer?

Any reason to do this or not do this? I guess if you just don't like your local dealer / they seem clueless eh?

I feel like it could hurt you relationship wise with your local dealer that you'd take in for warranty work and such, but idk

A courtesy delivery is when you purchase from a dealer (most likely out of state) and have it delivered to a local dealer. Not free, it varies from dealer to dealer and some dealers won't do a CD, I paid $250. Better than going to Pennsylvania to pick it up. Didn't trust my local dealer wouldn't jack up the price and yes, those three dealers above know what they are doing. Try getting 3% under invoice like Chapman or $3k off MSRP like Granger from your local dealer, you will be lucky they don't add ADM.

Not worried about service, they really don't care since they make more $$ from service.

It gets delivered through the normal delivery channels, just to a different dealer then the one that is invoiced for it. It's more typically for multi-state companies where they fleet buy through a single dealer and have them drop shipped to multiple locations.

Although Granger doesn't do CD and Chapman stopped because people got whiny about paying the deposit of delivery costs if they declined. Long McArthur does delivery (if you finance through them) but I'm not sure if they're using actual courtesy delivery or just trucking.

its a shame ,this seems all so crazy, we are only a few weeks from August, and my dealer still seems to Know Nothing? I called Ford customer service again today, and really get no real answers from them, who in heck really knows what is going on??I ordered Oct 12 2021 and want to make sure it stays ordered,or changes to a 2023. why dont ford or the dealer know what to do,with only 2 weeks till August??

FordVideoGuy mentioned it ranges (and always seems to be going up), but has tended to be about $1.25 to $1.50 per mile.

I know what you mean. I gave my guy at the Apopka store a heads up and seemed to know that 8/2 was the date. In either case, I will be in his office that day because it takes him 2-3 days to respond to me via text as it is and I know that day will be even worse.

I ordered from Mullinax vero beach in oct 2021,ford says its still on order,but the dealer has really no answers, and sometimes dont even answer! I also have a "pre 2023 order in at Apopka" same xlt but different color. as they sent out that email ad,on 2023 preorder, I told Vero today to make sure if is not going to be a 2022 make sure it gets ordered as a 2023,if we get two I may sell one,or with my luck ,we wont get any!!

This is the first and only time I have seen someone say that there will be two different order bank openings for the Maverick.

Tim has mentioned previously that the 8/2 and 8/15 dates applied to fleet orders, but all retail orders are 8/2. Maybe you'll get lucky and people who got that email wait until 8/15 to go put theirs in. I would be at their office that morning 8/2 though telling them to put in your order.
