Now I know why you didn't charge $120I guess I wasn’t that clear. Shut the car off to remove the key and put the other key in and turn it to the accessory mode as well.
I’m also only 95 percent confident that it will work. I don’t have a way to test the instructionsNow I know why you didn't charge $120![]()
Yep, quite simple. Type in master code, press. 1,then 5 digit code you want to use.I don’t have my truck yet. Maybe next Friday. Maybe next January. I’m done believing delivery dates until the truck is in my garage.
My question is: can you change the keyless entry code? That would be useful.
You can add additional codes, you can't change the master code. You can add codes in the menu on the Sync 3 screen.Yep, quite simple. Type in master code, press. 1,then 5 digit code you want to use.

That's good stuff!1. Grab both keys
2. Put one key in and turn it to the the on position, but not running.
3. Turn off and Remove the first key
4. Put the second key in and turn to the on position.
5. Master code displayed on dash.
edit add- might have to wait a 3-5 seconds while in the accessory mode with both keys
Agreed, I thought the question was making your user codes. Master codes are set in stone as is typically on any of these electronic locks. They always have a master code that you have to save for resetting and such. You can add additional codes, you can't change the master code. You can add codes in the menu on the Sync 3 screen.
There are 5 buttons and 5 numbers. Each number can repeat. So 5 to the 5th power (5*5*5*5*5=3125). That gives us 3,125 possible solutions to the keypad. With over 80,000 mavericks made, each possible number could have already been used 25 times. Is it possible that my master code will work on another Maverick?
My compliments to your math teacher! There are 5 buttons and 5 numbers. Each number can repeat. So 5 to the 5th power (5*5*5*5*5=3125). That gives us 3,125 possible solutions to the keypad. With over 80,000 mavericks made, each possible number could have already been used 25 times.
You have a 0.03 percent chance of your code working on a random Maverick. Then again, you have the same chance of picking a random 5 numbers to work on any Maverick. This assumes that Ford assigns all possible solutions.
Your selling dealer probably recorded the number somewhere. Did you try calling them? The owner's wallet card in the glove box apparently got thrown out with packing material. I do not have the master code for the keyless entry pad. When I went to the local Ford dealer (I did not buy the car from them) they said it would be $120, highway robbery. Is there any way to get around this or hack the code? It is a Maverick XLT hybrid.
Thanks, I was thinking my math was fuzzy because the numbers can be 0-9. Which gives 100,000 possible combinations. However, the true unique button sequences is 3,125. Then there would be 2 to the 5th power (32) possible number combinations for each button sequence. My compliments to your math teacher!
The keyless entry pad is a huge benefit to Ford owners (me anyway). I can leave the keys in my farm trucks, and open with the key pad, and then use the key to drive.
