Which Keyless Entry Keypad to order for XL?

So Ford has two keypads for sale. One is with factory remote start and one without factory remote start. Since the Maverick has FordPass remote start and not key fob remote start. Not sure which one to order.

You can do whatever you want but the XL offers a nice clean look without the keypad. I would never add that to my vehicle. You can use the ford app on your phone to lock and unlock your doors as well as remote start your Maverick regardless of trim level.

Before I upgraded to the XLT I was planning to get the keypad accessory but mount it somewhere in the bed (or maybe even in the cubby). Depends on how often you use it I guess, but I didn't think it would look great on the door.

Just remember not to do that on a hybrid Maverick, it has an inside fuel door release button.

Hey, that’s a great idea! It’s just held on with double sided tape, so you can mount it anywhere. Inside the cubby would be a good idea, if you rarely use it.

The hybrid has it because it pressurizes the fuel tank for extra efficiency and needs time to vent before opening the door.

You can get locking inserts for the Ford capless fuel filler.

Synch with key fob and stick on the door with double sided tape. Pretty easy. No dealer required.
