I stopped by Granger Ford earlier today to see if they could give me an update on the status of my 12/26 order for an XLT ecoboost with lux and co-pilot 360 packages. They were very nice to visit with.

When I made the order back on 12/26 I was around 100th in line. They said I'm now 46th in line, so I'm assuming that means Granger has fulfilled around 50 orders in the last 6 months?? They said they still have around 350 Maverick orders on their list today. They mentioned their allocation for June has moved up to 58, but I don't understand what that really means.

Basically, I'm just trying to get a realistic idea on whether my 12/26 order is likely to get built for the 22 model year. If it's true that Granger has fulfilled around 50-60 Maverick orders in the last 6 months, and if I'm 46th in line as of today, I'm thinking it's likely my order will not get fulfilled before Ford starts building 23 models (especially since my order has lux and co-pilot 360).

Probably too early to despair.

Remember most of the Granger 3k orders came in at the end just before the order cutoff. Since Ford is (trying) to build in the sequence received, most of the Granger builds will occur near the end of the 22 build, which is in October. The allocation will go up to accommodate the back end loaded customer orders (they got 58 allocations for last month, which means 58 units were built for their orders).

Of course plenty can still go wrong! Commodity shortages and delays limiting the total build plan could still result in orders not built in 22. But you won’t know until the scheduling for October is done, probably end of July or early August.

In your case, being only 46 in line, I would think there is a good chance you will get scheduling notification sometime in the next few weeks.

I placed my XLT, FX4, 4k tow, lux, cp360 order on 10/14. After hearing nothing all the way until mid-April, I decided to drop the lux and cp360 to facilitate a faster delivery. Sure enough, by mid-May, I was given a VIN and told I was scheduled for week of June 27th.

Of course, it's been rescheduled twice now all the way out to August 8th, but at least there's forward progress... My thoughts on the cp360 and lux are this: I can get this Maverick, order another Maverick exactly how I want in August when the order banks reopen, drive the 1st until the one I want comes in, and sell the 1st at what I paid for it or even a small profit (3k under msrp gives me a lot of wiggle room in today's market). At least that is the plan.

it's a good plan. It pencils without consideration of taxes and DMV fees. Here in California, figure those will run 10-12% of the total cost. A second vehicle incurs those costs all over again. Its not pretty trying to flip vehicles.

With the Lux and CP360 is likely why your order seems to be getting pushed back. I ordered mine on 12/28 just 2 days after yours. basic XLT with AWD 4K a full size spare, and in cab power inverter. Mine was pulled with the 58 this month for build consideration. That doesnt mean I will definitely get a vin this coming Thursday, but may be a better possibility.

Bruh. Nothing has been "pulled" this month. No scheduling yet. Do you mean your priority moved from 19 to less than 2?
I was told that mine was taken from 19 to 2. They said for 'build concideration". I am taking that to mean that they are looking at my selected options and seeing if they want to issue a vin# and a build date. I was told either this month or next month I will likely see a vin# I am hoping for this month. If not, I will save up more cash for it.

And drop the "Bruh". It makes you sound like my teenage daughter 🤣🤣🤣🤣 everything is bruh or dawg. I think she thinks she is "gangsta" 🤣🤣🤣. She dont even know what gangster is. Gotti and Genovese crime families, now that's real gangster shit.

I get it, your replies are meant to be the voice of reason, but they make you sound like a party pooper. Or is it because you are on the tail end of this, and likely yours will end up as a 2023 model?

Hate to be that guy but I have been purposely staying away from the Maverick order drama and don't have hours to read and catch up. Has anyone taken possession of an early January order? Realistically do we have any chance to get a January order yet this year?
