I had the Sumitomo P02s (older version) on my old Murano, and they were excellent in the rain, good in the snow, and wearing well when I sold it with about 20-30k on the tires. I'll definitely consider them when my Maverick needs new shoes (probably before next winter--the OE Continentals are...
Has anyone else seen this? My previous tank, I filled until the automatic shutoff stopped filling, the Ford Account Dashboard said my tank was 104% full (VIN and mileage whited out). My most recent fillup, again, I didn't try to top off, and drove around a bit, but it's showing 102%. I may try...
This makes no sense. How is one supposed to earn or accrue "maintenance points" towards "complimentary maintenance" on a brand new vehicle which has not had nor needed any maintenance?
I expect that when a manufacturer represents that the benefits they provide will cover the first three services, that they will do so. That's definitely not the case with Ford.
Never had an issue with getting the first four services free with Toyota products, but they don't use a misleading points system. They also offered a tire rotation at 25k, but there were some weird restrictions like you had to have between 25,000-25,999 odometer miles and be within 24 months of...
I don't think I misinterpreted it at all. Here's some additional dealer marketing and other information which makes it clear that the "welcome reward" is supposed to fully cover the first three maintenance visits:
FordPass Rewards members will receive a Welcome Reward with enough points to cover...
The likely outcome is that I trade it for a vehicle which offers actual complimentary maintenance and not some sort of scammy points system which might cover some maintenance, if the dealer's charges are low enough.
Since you are implying they are two different things, where can I track the number of "maintenance points" versus "reward points" I have? My Ford app only shows a single category of FordPass Reward points and doesn't appear to draw any distinction. Does the "complimentary maintenance" title of...
Then Ford needs to correct its marketing materials. Again, other makes which offer complimentary maintenance do not provide it in a way which is subject to the whims of dealer pricing on the customer end.
That's fine and good, but what you've described is not how Ford advertises the complimentary maintenance program:
This is also not what I have experienced with complimentary maintenance programs with other makes--the dealer is obligated to accept whatever payment the manufacturer provides under...
As the title says. I explicitly told them I wanted to use my FordPass points for the service that Ford provides. They should have only charged 11,000 points, per the information I have. The service writer was new and had to go to somebody else to process the transaction. I've emailed the service...
Funny you mention that. I'm pretty sure there aren't threaded holes for screws to secure the grab handles above any of the four doors. I know this because the one above my front passenger door felt loose, and something over there is rattling, so I decided I'd try to tighten the screws that they...
Nice to have Discount Tire as a sponsor. I don't think I've been to any other tire store in over a decade! I've always been impressed with the efficiency, customer service, and competitive pricing. My Maverick only has 8,500 miles, but I'll definitely be in once it's time for new ones.
93 here, but it appears from Cobb Tuning's post that Ford's highest factory octane map may be 91, so it might not make much difference.
That does get me to thinking--if my Maverick's OEM tune reaches maximum performance at 91 octane, if I'm running 93 octane, I can probably put in a few...
Disclaimer: YMMV. I have run premium on my 2.0T AWD ever since I got it last year, and did a couple of pulls on the Fastr app. Recently, I ran the tank to (almost) empty and filled up with regular. I did a couple of pulls today on regular fuel. My Mav ran 5.95 and 6.0 seconds 0-60 on premium...
The driving dynamics, lack of road noise, and general refinement of my XL EB AWD are far better than anything in its $25k price range. Performance is also great. The handling is predictable and I also clocked a 5.95 second 0-60 time using the Fastr app without doing anything special to launch...
