roof mounts help on vehicles with limited interior space, but I think the trend is getting a bit out of hand. Never thought a crew cab truck with a bed needed a basket on top, but the overland crowd will love it I’m sure.

Interesting, the Thule rack on your list shows it attaching to roof rails which I have not seen as a Maverick option. It actually has the rear tire extending beyond the roof line of the vehicle which would work well on the Maverick.

Yeah that's what I'm curious about. At this point I'm hoping Thule or Yakima has some roof racks available by the time the truck comes out.

There's no rails on any Maverick, or an option to put one on AFAIK. Saw a photo on this forum where the trim piece fell off of a Maverick which is right where you would mount a rail, if there was one. There was nothing but what looked like welding / manufacturing tabs there. Nothing to screw into.

It would be great to have the option of rails for a Maverick. Doesn't look likely, at least with 2022 models.
