I've got the XL and the door is always openable. Automakers greatly reduced their use of 'locking' gas tank doors because crooks were just drilling a hole in the gas tank and catching the gas below the car in a bucket.
But I like the idea of keeping the keypad out of the wind, and sight...
The Bodyshop has a glaring Conflict Of Interest here. If you agree to let insurance pay the bodyshop, he's got a lot of revenue and you are essentially on the hook, have to wait for as long as the Bodyshop takes. You want to explain to the insurance company that the truck is totaled, plus...
Car almost 12 months old, doing just under 10K per year. Could do more if I 'had to' ;)
Probably will keep the Maverick for a long time.
Full Synthetic or Blend?
Any other ideas?
I've got more time to think about the extended warranty plans.
Hi Mauro,
I'm trying to duplicate your install of the HF Aluminum Rack but I'm wondering how you were able to get the forward rack to but up against the back of the cab. The bed's top rails on the Maverick curve up quite a bit on the outboard side going up to the cab, though at least the...
Fun and informative. Maverick owners are friendly people.
And you have some amazing 3D print customizations! You should do a post on them.
Thanks for organizing it!
Ordered Ecoboost XL Jan 2021 with 500 down AND a trade in, Maverick Received December 2022
After reading more than a few horror stories on this forum, became very concerned that the Dealership would try something like a "market adjustment". I was practically shocked that the sale closed so...
+1 for buying a dedicated GPS. Sorry to say it, but Android Auto is simply not ready for prime time IMHO. In fact, it's broken. I tried it with Sygic and Wayze and I put the blame at least 90% on Android/Ford side, and 10% on the app side. Even if it all really worked well, it's a problem to...
Update, dealer fixed, no charge under warranty
It was a couple of fuses plus BFA:CIRCUIT BREAKER ASY
Perhaps something blew on the assembly line.
With two problems I decided not to check the fuses myself, let them do it under warranty. Glad I didn't spend time hunting fuses down only to...
Well, we have the original data point: the Maverick doesn't work with the trailer which does work with the other car (an older Ford).
So sure we can wonder if the inexpensive tester is compatible with Mavericks '22 eletronics, but we still know the running lights don't work with the trailer...
Yes, trailer worked before and after on in-law's car.
Got a Harbor Freight 4 prong $3 tester - and while the signals and brakes work, it's just the running lights that don't. Still haven't checked the fuses yet.
