  1. 📬 9/16 Scheduling Email Received Group!

Got mine today at 10:57 AM EST. Hybrid XLT with co-pilot 360, rear window, and hitch. Ordered from Chapman, confirmed July 26, production date is Nov. 8. Since my order date I have removed the hard roll-up and the spray in liner. The irony is that in the time between ordering and now, I've been...
  2. How long do you keep your vehicles?

Thanks for all of your replies! As expected, they cover the full spectrum. Interesting reading everyone's reasons. I'll be 40 about two weeks, and have had many cars in my life. Some were junkers and were just temporary cars to get me through a period of time. Most good vehicles I've had I had...
  3. How long do you keep your vehicles?

I am curious how long everyone here usually hangs on to their vehicles. There are generally two schools of thought: Keep a vehicle until it rusts back into the earth, or sell it when it is relatively young and still worth something. My Dad's 2001 Tundra has something like 330,000 miles on it...
  4. Maverick Memes - fun diversion while we wait [ ** NO POLITICS ** ]

Meme I made while talking with a friend about how bad and "minivanish" this cap makes the rear end of the Maverick look (my opinion, not yucking your yum if you like it), and also how the minivan is perhaps the most perfect vehicle for my lifestyle if I could just swallow my pride.
  5. Tonneau, did you order one?

Hadn't heard of this issue, but to be honest hadn't even thought to look into it. Now I'm curious as well. I've been thinking of changing to a soft roll-up anyway just because I can see eventually going with a cap.
  6. What Tools are you going to carry in your New Maverick?

Yeah, they are pretty sweet and almost bought one, but then a friend had had Katanaboy while camping and I knew it was the choice for me. It's simple, quiet, and very light so I can carry it on my back to clear trails.
  7. What Tools are you going to carry in your New Maverick?

I use it in place of a chainsaw to collect windfall oaks in the woods for firewood. A little extra work but a lot more satisfying. It can cut through a 6" log super fast, and I've cut through 12" oak before. I also use it to forage firewood (already downed) when camping. It's a great saw!
  8. Roof Load Limit

For what it's worth, I've been running Thule roof racks on my Tacoma for over three years and have no damage to the seals. Maybe they interface with various cars/truck models differently, but I haven't had a problem.
  9. Ford Accessory Parts List For 2022 Maverick

Yeah that's what I'm curious about. At this point I'm hoping Thule or Yakima has some roof racks available by the time the truck comes out.
  10. NEW JERSEY

I'm from Little Egg Harbor, and spend a lot of time on Long Beach Island. I'm hoping that the Maverick can stand up to the salty environment a bit better than my last Tacoma. I ordered a XLT hybrid in Iconic Silver.
  11. 3D Printed Accessories for Rear of center console?

Looking forward to the cup holder for a small dog water bowl...or it would be cool if someone made a dog bowl specific attachment.
  12. Weathertech has Maverick Accessories!

Also, yes I said "winter," I hope that's not being too optimistic 😅
  13. Weathertech has Maverick Accessories!

One of the good things about getting the Maverick a little later than I would have liked is that hopefully Weathertech and other third party manufacturers will have all that stuff out by the time I get my truck. Don't want to think of a winter in a new truck without Weathertech floor mats...
  14. Leitner Rack for Maverick previewed at SEMA garage

Yeah, really kind of bummed they didn't put post holes or some other provision. To be honest, I haven't had bed racks for many years; I've just made do with cab racks, which is probably what I'll do on the Maverick if/when third party companies begin to roll them out. Although these do look...
  15. Leitner Rack for Maverick previewed at SEMA garage

I could be wrong, as I'm just basing this off this picture and videos of the tonneau cover I've watched, but it looks like the track for the tonneau cover will interfere with the way this clamps onto the bed. Really hoping for a bed rack option that is able to work with the tonneau cover.
  16. Current Maverick Regional Commodities

That's exactly my dilemma. Already from the beginning of July, average used car prices dropped around $2000, and are expected to continue gradually returning to close to normal. Granted that's average, and I'm selling a Tacoma so that should hold higher value a bit better, but still... I do...
  17. Bak Industries Maverick tonneau bed cover now listed on site

Worth considering,, as far as price comparison goes, if you find a 4% under invoice dealer (I went with Tom at Chapman) the price for the hard roll-up comes to around $1040. For me, that extra $50-60 is worth it to have the truck just how I want it from day one.
  18. Bed tent recommendations for Maverick?

To the OP, do you have mich experience with camping? It sounds like maybe you're just getting into it, which is awesome, but if that's the case I'd recommend getting a basic on-the-ground tent and trying that. They are cheaper and set up quickly, and you're not limited in size. It is really nice...
  19. Air deflectors value

I love them! I never really considered them until I started bringing my dog to work with me, and needed a way to keep the rain out with the windows down. Great for cutting down on wind noise when on the highway with the windows cracked, or just for letting hot air dump out when parked on a rainy...
