Yes, if the object is to drain people's bank accounts! Are these functional?
Open the hood, examine how the truck is put together, and then explain to me how air passes thru sheetmetal and/or plastic. There is no "inlet" to speak of. Just an "outlet". They do nothing, nada, zilch.Air passing through the grill into the engine bay to outside through the vet I would assume.
No purpose except to fill a hole that should not be there. What are the purpose of these vents? Just for appearance or functional purposes?
Got better things to do.Open the hood, examine how the truck is put together, and then explain to me how air passes thru sheetmetal and/or plastic. There is no "inlet" to speak of. Just an "outlet". They do nothing, nada, zilch.

O.K., so I'm kind of wrong. If they do something then why didn't Ford make them functional? It would have been easy. They even have a half-assed grille molded into them.Okay, here ya go

Relieve built up air pressure in the wheel wells. What are the purpose of these vents? Just for appearance or functional purposes?
$209 at Ford plus it sticks on! Way, Way too much for this "22 Lariat owner!!Wayyyyyy too much money for a couple pieces of plastic that do nothing. It's not a "vent" , they aren't lighted, and we'd be better off with a little emblem that has the model name. IMHO, these are a design flaw on all current Ford trucks. The things should have never been there in the first place.
