Alright, folks. Time for an update from me. Dealer had my vehicle for 10 days...only to come back with, "Sorry, user error!" They said I went off-road and had rocks stuck on my skid plate, cleaned it, and it's..."better, but there's still some in there causing noise." That didn't seem right to me at all, but went with it in the hopes it was actually fixed and it was my fault. Nope.

Took them 10 days to tell me that. And on top, I got billed for almost $200 in labor to clean that area.

The squeaking and popping continues. I will be contacting the dealer on Monday again.

So I'm out $200 for nothing and the squeaking continues. Not a good look for a $35,000 vehicle and my first service appointment.
@Ford Motor Company this needs to be handled ASAP! We all have this same issue, we all have multiple videos, we are going to complain to NHTSA and any news outlets, we have trucks that could have a major structural integrity issue!!! Either way, 19,995 to 47k$ Trucks all sound the same! You have to crank radio and hvac to not hear it! I have bought new base priced cars of 11,500 to 20k nothing! I have old ass cars nothing like this!
Please help! I will be working on petition and communication over the next week.

Here is a video of my driver side A-Pillar rattle, sounds like it has gotten worse. It's unbearable without the radio up loud. If I press out on the window, or drive at highway speeds it gets quieter, leading me to believe the window is installed faulty.
I am getting the windshield replaced due to a crack from a rock on the passenger side.

If the Windshield replacement doesn't fix the rattle I'll be taking it to the dealer. When I called last week it was a One month wait for a service appointment.

Yours is even worse than mine!

Here's mine.

Folks, if any of you have this issue, please contact your dealer and have them report this to Ford.

I’ll sign it. I have a feeling this is going to be a long road. No one knows what the fix might be right now. Did Ford actually do any RDT&E or engineering on the Maverick?

I understand that if I had my Maverick and was hearing rattles that I would be concerned and even "worked up". However, sometimes, even though it is hard, if you can step back and have a little chuckle, it helps!!

Ford Technician: Hey the good news is we found out what was causing the rattle. It was just a marble in the ashtray!! :D

That is funny! Lol… I wish this was the case! I suspect that would be my luck though.. I have narrowed this to windshield/driver a pillar/also had window down on driver side it was very noticeable then… I’m starting to wonder about the black strips above the can of the truck as well. But it seemed to be coming from the driver door/a-pillar area? The saga continues

If you listen close put headphones on or something. You’ll hear when I press on the windshield a click. Play it on a loop. It’s not at loud as when I’m driving but this is definitely the noise.

UPDATE on my Window/Dash/A-Pillar Rattle!

It's GONE, After having my Windshield Replaced.

My Windshield was replaced a week ago, 5/2, by Safelite due to a crack on the passenger side from a rock. I was suspecting/hoping this would fix the Rattle that's been there since I purchased the truck.
I tried to get my Ford dealer to look at it, was told it would be a MONTH before I could even get an appointment to have it looked at.

There were initially a few rattles/popping noises the first 2 days after having the windshield replaced which were concerning(one was in the top center.) However, they subsided(I'm guessing the sealant has to cure) and a week later, No Rattles. Very Pleased.

So in a way, my Windshield cracking was really a blessing. I paid a $100 State Farm deductible, and didn't have to wait Months for Ford to TRY and find/fix the issue. Which is almost Certainly insufficient sealing of the Windshield to the truck.

I’ve had the rattle for a month and it sounds like its the center of the dash. Today I just started tapping on the door dash area and replicated the sound from the radio screen. Tapping the blue color housing that holds the screen. Incredibly loud just by barely tapping where my finger is. Did not drive it today to try and fix it but if that isn’t it it will be it at some point. There are several places around the corner of the instrument panel you can tap and get a rattle especially on the right side of dash panel to the left of my finger.

I pretty much fixed my rattles by inserting padding so hard plastic wasn’t hitting hard plastic. Where the screen housing hits the dash I stuffed in padding and where the curved instrument panel meets the dash beside the screen I stuffed in some black padding. Drove yesterday and it eliminated almost all rattles.

Did you see my post above? When I had the windshield replaced due to a crack, my rattles now gone. I suspect it's how the windshield was sealed to the frame improperly, at least in my case. I couldn't find anything under that A pillar trim that could have been making that rattle.

I did. Unfortunately, I don't know I would prove to them that it's from that.

Yeah, that's why I ironically consider myself fortunate that I had to have my windshield replaced due to a crack.
The only way to know for sure would be to pull the windshield and I'm not sure how you'd get them to do that.
