Cool, where’d you find them in stock?
Onlinefordpartscatalog.com

I haven’t had time to install them yet as we’re on 7/12’s at work right now. I’ve worked every day for 3 weeks now so hopefully soonI’ll get a chance to complete the mod

Let's see if I have this right. I have a Hybrid Xl, Copilot 360 and hitch. I have switches SW-8579 and SW-8576 ordered. I will use the original steering wheel and just replace the switches. In this thread the following:
SCCM needs set to 724-02-01 1258 6820 3050
BCMC needs set to 726-04-05 CB28 8141 8873
ABS needs set to 760-03-02 0200 0000 0573 for brakes to work with cruise control

In Doc928 thread he showed the following:
In SCCM, set steering wheel right switch to module set 1
in SCCM, set steering wheel left switch to module set 11
in ICP module, set cruise control switch to "enabled"

Who can say for sure what programming needs to be done to make a Hybrid XL with Copilot 360 with just the switches being replaced have a working cruise control.

Watching, have same exact situation when I do the swap.

Got it installed today! Worked like a charm, only hiccup was the sscm didn't want to write at first so i did the other two first then came back to it and it worked fine... next to install the Knight Rider conversion into the dash cubbie.... I've already got the matching bolts and it'll fit nicely... and if you program your Google assistant.... well it'll even answer your questions and call you Michael...oh wait that is actually my name so all good

Thank you to everyone that contributed to this. I was able to get everything swapped out, and made the Forscan changes successfully. Total investment of about $150 and 30 minutes of my time, well worth it.

Nice. This gives me the confidence that I don’t need to buy an XLT just for cruise.

Ford Motor Company thinks so if they use it on both XL and XLT models. But there is a rub here. If you have an FX4 package the difference is this and holds true for gas or hybrids. So it is only optimal if you don't have an FX4 package which rules out all XL owners doing this mod.

I'll update the main post accordingly.
I appreciate all of the info here. This forum is pretty cool for the most part. This topic has been given attention in the Ford Authority daily email so I think I know the answer but feel like I need to ask... Does anyone know if this modification voids, or otherwise affects, the warranty?

I do believe anything you do intentionally that directly causes damage is your responsibility. The way I understand it is that it would be on Ford to prove any specific action caused damage to not be covered by any existing warranty. A blanket voiding of implied warranty for adding options or upgrades does not make sense when Ford encourages customization namely FITS and FLEXBED.

Search Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act that regulates warranty standards and requirements.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson–Moss_Warranty_Act

The federal minimum standards for full warranties are waived if the warrantor (FORD) can show that the problem associated with a warranted consumer (you) product was caused by damage while in the possession of the consumer, or by unreasonable use, including a failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance.

Just my opinion and willing to take that chance. I am not a lawyer or legal advisor but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.

Only if they can make a convincing case the modification may have been the source of the problem. Case in which it would void the warranty for the repair is if you put the steer wheel back together wrong or had an issue with the turn stalks, air bags or had a programming problem and bricked a module afterwards. The dealer will repair it but you are going to pay for them to fix it, warranty won't cover it.

That was my question as well. I have an XL with no 360. I purchased a 2020 steering wheel from a Ford Escape. The buttons on the right work but I can’t get the buttons on the left (cruise control, volume up/down/mute) to work. Wondering what the updated codes are with the newest Forscan and Maverick XL Hybrid with no 360. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
