If I was concerned about the wait, I would not have ordered a truck that is not in production yet... I know it may be a while, so I will try to be patient.

I am in the same boat, patiently waiting for my Hybrid too, it's PERFECT for me. I am that guy in the promo video who won't tow but will use the bed for Home Depot runs every weekend. I'm sick of putting bags of mulch and plants in the trunk of my Audi.
Me too! I am driving a Q5 and while it is a blast to drive, I won't be terribly sorry to see it go. Also, premium is $4.68/gallon here in San Diego so that just adds to the pain and misery

Rub your lucky rabbits foot around 10/11am EST on Thursdays if scheduling is being done that week.

It’s on your DORA. If you didn’t receive it from your dealership ask them for it.
What is a DORA

What does this mean? When will production start? I thought it was this week. What is scheduling?

Yeah, didn't believe her but that is what she spewed on the phone, no joke. All BS in my opinion. I truly believe that is part of the Information/Misinformation campaign Ford continues to spread. If they would not try to be so helpful and answer the questions and only provide facts maybe there wouldn't be so much confusion.

Case in point, I called because someone posted they got their VIN by calling Customer Service. So I called. She also told me THEY cannot provide the VIN that ONLY the Dealer can provide that. And then went on to tell me about the time to get the vehicle once it starts Build. I was pissed when she said she couldn't give me the VIN even if she had it.
I think it also depends on who you talk to when you call. I'm willing to bet that if you called back a few later and got a different customer service rep they would have told you something different!

[ADMIN 8/17 UPDATE]:
  • On Thursday, August 19, Escape and Maverick will NOT be selected for scheduling.
  • The next Maverick scheduling opportunity will be on Thursday, August 26.

Here's the Maverick scheduling listed for week of 8/16/21.

For Build Week 10/18 - 10/25.

dang no scheduling this week. well thats polar opposite to what my dealer told me just 24 hours ago fuck. They said my priority code changed and one of the managers said it may be scheduled this week because of that. hopefully next week then. FINGERS FREAKING CROSSED. darn it. i think then itll be scheduling for the final week of October then for next weeks scheduling.

The Note that you replied to has the answer to your statement. Next week will be Scheduling for the last 2 weeks in October. NOT just the final week.

I was told by my dealer that a lot of hybrid vehicles currently scheduled will be delayed and those spots taken up by 2.0 Ecoboosts.

I was just getting used to this "Every Thursday crossing my fingers and waiting for an email". Now what am I going to do?It's also nice to live vicariously for the ones that do get their build dates.

Based upon some of the posts, it seems things will be in motion this week, maybe no scheduling, but vins assigned, codes changed, etc. I wouldn’t be shocked if the 4k fwd thing threw a monkey wrench in the scheduling this week. Seems like an issue to deal with. Who knows, if enough builds are cancelled due to the 4k issue, some folk’s builds may even move up.

it would be interesting to know the total build scheduled at this point. I read somewhere that there are about 30,000 orders. You think 10,000 have been scheduled?

I agree I think the 4k fwd has really screwed up scheduling so it might take a bit to sort that out. Maybe like you said some builds will be moved due the scheduling issues.

There is also a big advantage to the scheduling delay. Instead of scheduling for the 1st two weeks of November on August 26th, they will be scheduling the last two weeks of October. At the rate they were going, they would have been scheduling for January in mid September.
