I'm so happy to see many of you guys finally getting built/shipped notifications! I picked up my truck on 2/1 and have been really happy with it so far. Promise it will be worth the wait!
Just throwing this out there in case anyone else runs into it...
Called my dealer yesterday to see if they had an ETA on their end as to when my truck would be delivered (it's on a train in AZ right now). Their response was that while it will get to the railyard sometime between 2/2 - 2/8, they...
I absolutely will! I'm extra excited since I sold my Q5 in December and sort of need the wheels (just riding my motorcycle right now). Since I'm in San Diego hopefully I'll see the truck sooner rather than later - estimated date on the pizza tracker is 2/2 - 2/8. We shall see. Hang in there! :)
I had something similar happen to me. My original build date was week of 12/20, then it was moved to 1/3. Truck was built on 1/7 but didn't receive a "built" email until 1/23 and a "shipped" email until 1/25. It took basically another 2 weeks from the time my modules populated until it shipped...
I did the same - sold my Q5 in December and just riding my trusty Yamaha TW200 right now. Fortunately my June 28th order is currently in transit to the dealer, but that t-dub is getting some miles right now. Right there with you!
Just got my "shipped" notification this morning. The estimated delivery date is 2/2 - 2/8. Hoping it may not be that long since Hermosillo is not that far from San Diego.
Received my "shipped" email overnight, 1:46 AM PST. Estimated delivery to San Diego is still 2/2 - 2/8 but I'm wondering if it will be shorter since Hermosillo is not all that far from here.
Received a built email yesterday - noon PST - saying that my truck will arrive at the local dealer sometime between 2/2 and 2/8. Tracker is now updated saying 2/8 delivery with 1/23 as the built date. Will let you all know when I get a "shipped" email.
There must be something - bed liner or other constrained part as you all mentioned - that is holding up all of our trucks that are otherwise 99% complete. Will let you know if/when my 2/1 estimated delivery date changes. I'm sure it will. Have a great weekend all! :)
This is really interesting! It would explain why we have ETAs in the bottom of the tracker, and modules fully populated for a while, but no additional tracker movement. The plot thickens! :geek:
Just called Ford Marketing. They were super helpful and said that yes, the truck is in production, and no, it will not be here by 2/1. She said that as the build gets further along that date will be updated. Positive note, I got a real human very quickly and she was lovely! :)
I was sort of wondering that too. My dealer mentioned that the chip shortage could be the holdup but I'm not sure if that makes sense or not. Agreed though, if they aren't done they must be 99% of the way there. No updates for you all either?
I'm in the same boat that you are! Production week of 1/3, actually built on 1/7 but still listed as "in production". Called the dealer today and he said that it is back from the body shop (presumably for SIBL) and should be shipping soon. My estimated delivery date is 2/1 - to San Diego - and...
Just called my dealer...truck is apparently back from the body company (and has been) but hasn't shipped. When I mentioned that the tracker said an estimated delivery of 2/1 he just laughed and said it was highly unlikely and I'd be looking at more like 3-4 weeks, minimum. Not encouraging...
That could be the same for me, since I have one too. The tracker does work for me which makes me feel like nothing is happening. If I don't hear anything in another day or two then I may call my dealer. So close but yet so far! :)
From what I understand my truck is already built and I still have zeroes on my window sticker. Not sure what that signifies or if they have changed for others. I'm just a few days ahead of you.
