I'm getting the Lariat hybrid. I'd drop it like a hot rock for a Maverick Lariat EV.
I would trade my current eco mav in on a E-mav if it was priced at 35k and got 250-300mi range....for my needs that would be perfect...especially as I still have my 2500hd silverado....if ford priced the e-mav at 35k I bet they would sell out first day...didnt the lightning pro sell out very quick at 40k??? or am I mistaken?

I am hoping to see ford do an E-mav in the next couple years...so we will see....

An EV with 200-mile range is my daily driver. We put 21K miles on it last year. You obviously have never owned one. Stop regurgitating nonsense you read on the internet.
Drive from one end of Texas to the other (about 800 miles) and tell me how many times you would have to stop to charge a 200 mile range EV and how long did you have to sit a the average charging station to get a full charge. Regurgitate on that a while.

With the price as a considerable factor, the Maverick Hybrid really capitalizes on the benefits of both. It seems that its only drawback is that there is an ICE to maintain.
I agree

What does it feel like to know nothing about something yet still try to ram your opinion about it down people's throats?

You must be looking in the mirror with that statement. It's you that's insisting that a 200 mile range is all that is needed for Everyone just because that's Your Opinion. And the 21K miles in a year, that's like a gnat on an elephants ass (about 58 miles a day)

Three reasons why I didn't go with an electric truck right now:

1. Price: they're damn expensive. There's nothing that's electric that's the size/price of the Maverick.

2. The charging infrastructure isn't there. And I say that as someone who lives in the Seattle area where there are tens of thousands of people driving EVs. On top of availability, I need the charging to happen quickly. No more than a grocery store trip.

3. Range isn't great on most models today. It's good...not great. Along with the charging speed issue above, the range needs to go up considerably on trucks for when I'm in the mountains.

That's right. Given the base F150 Lightning comes in at $40K, no way a base EV Mav would be equal. It would need to be closer to $30K to make sense from a model line-up perspective. I would expect range to be slightly less as well.

Your basic EV lithium battery cost between 13-14k, no way it would be under 40k. You still have to add in all the technology that an EV requires. Look at Kia, ev6 starts at 40 with a range of 310 miles.
It should cost less than an internal combustion vehicle shouldn't it? We are still figuring out how to manufacture the batteries.

No. Way more technology goes into an ev, battery, cables, inverter. All of that is extremely expensive. Lithium batteries are nothing new, they just get bigger and more dangerous.

Yes, with at least 250 mi range, and long lasting battery Planning to replace the Prius once something like that is available under 30k. I’m sure it be happen in few years.

Whole lotta stupid round here.

We had a BMW i3 with a functional range of 90-100 miles a day. It was a fantastic company car and saved us a fortune in gas. So, a Maverick with 250 mile range would be amazing for us.

Internal combustion engine vehicles have cables and an inverter too no? EVs should become much easier to produce than ICE vehicles.
