Anyone with update?? Dealer said I had to make a different appointment outside of my oil change and tire rotation. Anyways, I’m posting my video from today… it’s slow to go and a longer clip… sorry for poor quality… but listen to the clicking it’s gotten bad!! Just in the ~3k mile range. It’s so much louder in person! Also, notice the noise at acceleration the metal vibration sound. Sorry for the shitty video…
Good morning, Gabriel! Could you please send us a private message with your VIN and dealership information? I would like to look into these clicking and vibration concerns for you on my end. Thanks!

This is a structure issue… It’s flexing the a-pillars and roof line against the windshield… either a strut brace may help?? Or ford needs to recall as maybe there or some spot welds or stiffening points missing? Like the Subaru Ascent? Still just venting until I can get it in… there’s not going to be “I can’t hear it or reproduce it!” It does it no matter the temp, road, and I have tons of videos now.

Here are some from last night. I apologize again for quality, my son helped film these. It’s to the point of it’s gotta get solved or I’m going to go nuts!

I should take a video of mine and post. May do that tomorrow if I think about it.
Hey Spuds—- Do you think since it’s tied to the movement or flexing of suspension and body against the windshield/dash/head liner… this could be structural? As in… maybe a strut tower brace being put on, would that help at all?? Make it worse? Is it possible that there are missing spot welds or welding points (not sure of the name) that help to create structural strength/support? Again, I’m sorry I really need to get it to dealer to get the ball rolling… but I’m baffled by my new truck let alone all of us on here having this issue… This isn’t something to expect in any level of automobile…

I expect rattles at this price point. This is after all a disposable cheap daily driver with some practicality. Doubtful I’ll even wash it. Why? I haven’t washed my fusion s once since I bought it.
To many people including me, my new Maverick is not a disposable vehicle. People work hard to afford the Maverick. They take pride in their vehicles, and want a vehicle that performs perfectly.

When their Maverick has a problem they expect Ford to fix it properly. A well maintained vehicle is important to many people. Cleaning, waxing and washing a vehicle, maintains the outer appearance of it.

To each his own, but I would bet must people on this forum who bought a Maverick, are very proud they own this vehicle, and will be maintaining it so it will last, and give them years of satisfaction and pride.

Hello all, I’ve been lurking on this forum for a while and finally joined just to comment on this problem with the rattling sound. I had an almost identical problem when I got my 2017 F-150. It was driving me nuts and it sounded very much like what I’ve heard in these videos. Even though it sounded like it was coming from the dash I found it was actually coming from this panel pictured below on both my front doors. This panel popped right off and it appeared to be where the plastic was making contact with the structure behind it. I put some sound dampening material in multiple areas and used a little bit of RTV in a few spots and I haven’t had an issue since. I’ve seen that the Maverick has the same type of panels on its doors as well. Just an idea for you guys to try since nothing else has seemed to work. I’ve been closely monitoring this thread as I have been trying to find myself a Maverick and this kind of stuff drives me crazy. Good luck!

So, no remedy as of yet regarding this rattling? I hadn't heard about this until this thread popped up this morning under "latest posts "

My production date is the week of April 11th. Like most, this rattling noise would drive me nuts! Unless this gets remedied, I may seriously hold off until 2023.

Doesn't sound like Ford has been able to determine what this issue(s) is/are. I'll keep watching!

I now have an open case with Ford about this issue. Will be taking it (back) in to my local dealer on my next day off.

I will say that for both this and the other issue I had a case opened for, Ford has treated me very well. We’ll see if this one gets resolved, but I have zero complaints about their customer service practices.

Following. Yes, I have this rattle also. I was waiting for my 3000 mile check/oil change to get dealer to investigate (I'm at 1745 miles now). Maybe the cause will be found by the time I get to 3000 miles.

With rattles we tend to think of the absolute most extreme and complicated cause. Rattles in auto cabs throw the sound around in a very deceptive way. Do you know what the most common cause of rattles in auto cabs is? The sun visor is unclipped!

Took GM three years to find the intermittent noise in my factory new 72 Malibu. They finally agreed to take the dash apart and low and behold found a Dunkin Donuts napkin in the fan box.

I know yours is a more complex situation, but three years for a napkin, Good Luck to All of Us.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up! We are all waiting and watching! Please update as you get any info… I am scheduling my service next week. I can’t take the noise… they will at least be able to hear it and duplicate it… now how it’s resolved will be the big deal!
