Whew!!! There are a few voices of reason on this Forum! As I'm sure we all understand, FMC is in the business of building a product to sell that is profitable to the bottom line for the almighty shareholders!
If the quarter is not profitable to a certain level, then the executives and their feeder support team (mid level management, yes people etc) don't get their nice bonuses for their vacations and purchases to keep the wife's and mistresses happy!!
You can be sure with the buying power of FMC, if chips can be acquired, they will be. However, they have to be smart (quarterly earnings in mind) and distro the chips across all of their product lines...Decisions do go into this, like profit margins (most profitable models, demand, mutiny of the customers) etc.
We chose to order an economically priced vehicle so with that comes the understanding, that FMC will definitely deliver the product, but will distribute the chips in a way that makes sense to the bottom line.
We have to understand that we are not the profit margin leaders...so give them time....PLUS we want the company to remain strong so our product can be supported throughout its life with a stable brand! We will get our Mavericks at some point!
Maverick orders are like watching your 401k...don't check it daily...or you'll go crazy....check it quarterly...and hopefully the Maverick email will come like a surprise one day!
Thanks for reading my rant...it helps me to remember what I preach too... LOL
