Wait, you are in Dallas, right? Heated seats?
I live in SoCal. I refuse to give up my heated seats. Nothing feels better when your back hurts. I don't care of it hot out. 😂

Makes me long for the days of carburetors.
No way! Hard pass for me lol.

Tim,

If my Oct 21 XL hybrid with 360 order is pushed back to MY23, will I have the opportunity to look at the changes for MY23 to see if I want to add any to my order, or will it be built as ordered back in Oct 21. Also, would I lose any price protection on my order if I make a change?
I also would love to know these answers

We have had 0 hybrid orders from late August, September, October, November scheduled so far.
I really hope my July Lariat Lux Hybrid gets built. I ended up finding a lariat lux hybrid in cactus gray for under MSRP but I really want the Alto Blue i ordered

Great information as always.

I am still shocked Ford wont let Lux Package people choose to drop SIBL all together to help those who are indifferent about that part of the package.
heres one for u, went to order my maverick with xlt luxury package on jan 27
that package includes spray in bedliner which I wanted, no way I wanted the drop
in bedliner, salesman told me since they ran out of material for spray in bedliner
they would deduct the price of spray in bedliner, on the night of jan 27 I found out
that would not be the case they would ship the maverick with the drop in bedliner
on Jan 28 I went to the dealer and told him to just cancel the xlt luxury package from order, he informed me the order bank was closed and they couldnt do that
The only thing they could do would be to cancel the entire order
I said just cancel the order
in a way it’s a blessing, 15 years from now which vehicle will be running trouble free
a Ford mavRick or Toyota Tacoma, i Am a Ford man but buying a new vehicle built
the first year as opposed to one they been manufacturing for 20 years
no question which one to choose,
good Luck to all

I would like to believe that the Brand Manager's statements are all correct. Unfortunately, my dealer showed me direct evidence that it hasn't worked out that way on his orders.

(1) Partial vehicle history for my truck. Produced on January 11; still sitting in Hermosillo.

(2) Partial vehicle history for another truck, same dealership. Produced January 25, delivered this week.

Both trucks are hybrids
-- mine an XLT, the other a Lariat+Lux+Tonneau+Spray-in etc. etc. etc.

If Ford is really putting the chips in vehicles in the order they were built (FIFO), it's pretty hard to explain how that happened. And from other, less-detailed reports of builds/shipping/deliveries here on the forum, it appears this is not an isolated case.

@fordvideoguy -- Tim, I doubt that you have time, but if you want to ask the brand manager about clearing this up I can PM you the VINs for both these trucks.
I think what he meant is chips will be installed in the Mavs produced with missing chips sitting in a parking lot FIFO.

What he did not say is that they will ship all Mavs without chips before they start producing Mavs with all chips.

It would be very inefficient to direct all chips to the parking lot Mavs and keep producing Mavs without the same chips.

I know it does not seem fair. But in the end it will allow them to be more efficient and produce more Mavs this model year.

I'm not really worried about a bump to 2023 unless it causes me to lose content. Any deviation from the build I submitted, and I'm out. I ordered exactly what I wanted.

My order is Oct 12 Eco Lux 4K Moonroof. I hope I get my order by close out. I think I’m right on the fence. Lets see which October orders fall.
Ricky, I got picked Thursday order date the 18th I noticed 4/5 guys with later dates, that got picked were same order except moonroof and we were all carb.grey wonder if it's the color or the roof maybe you location or could be your dealers' allocations.

15 years from now either vehicle could end up in the scrap heap. I buy vehicles for 10 years and hope they keep going after that. My 2011 Prius has 155k miles and burns oil like gasoline. I have to top the oil off every fill up. And it hasn’t been trouble free otherwise. That aside I love the Tacos and it will probably be a great ride.

I'm extremely disheartened...
I need the Lux package as driving in the cold hurts my hands and kicks up my asthma when I drive in my 2011 Mitsubishi Galant. In the other SUV, the Subaru Forester, I use the heating seats, steering wheel, and A/C the rapid heating capability. So I really can't drop the package, but neither can I afford to wait till next year. I don't mind dropping Copilot360, but I definitely mind dropping the Lux package. I'm going to go to my dealership today to see if maybe they can move mine up to Priority Code 10? Who knows? But if what Tim is correct, I won't be selected since I ordered on Jan. 26th and I'm a currently a Priority Code 19....

How does the chip shortage affect a base Lariat compared to lux packages? Just curious.
Yeah I have a November Eco order Lariat the only option I have is a moonroof hoping it’s not too long

More info will come out. This past week, I think 95% were ecoboost that got scheduled. Not a good sign. Every day I keep reading about more and more hybrid orders getting rolled over to 2023 that haven't been scheduled yet.

And just think...people that got scheduled in December for a February build just got delayed until May. What do you think that means for people that get scheduled in January? June at the earliest...if there are no more delays. And what are the chances of that?

Nearly half of all Maverick orders haven't even been scheduled yet. Let's be extremely optimistic and say 50% get built by the end of May. That means it took over 7 months to build HALF of Maverick orders. They're basically going to be on pace, if no more delays, to build all their 2022 orders by late December....but anything built after August or September will be a 2023.

So I will be optimistic and guess that not EVERY hybrid will get rolled over to 2023s...but a LOT will.

Everyone keeps not wanting to believe it until they get an official statement from Ford...as if Ford has been in constant communication with every customer this whole time. How many official updates from Ford have you seen? I ordereded June 10th....I haven't got a single one.
I think you are right on. Like you said, my order was scheduled in December for early February, now moved back to early March and then I expect it too will be destined for the desert purgatory lot for 2 to 3 months. So instead of really excecting it in May as you said, I am expecting it in June (if I am lucky).
