I know it seems there is a lot of this today. This is the first time my dealer has contacted me about anything since ordering late October.
He ask me if I am willing to cancel co-pilot 360 in order to get build date instead of waiting till 2023. I said no because it can not be install after it built.
His reply was They will cancel it and l have to come back in Aug-Sep to reorder. Told him I am calling corporate cause I thought he was trying sell it out from under me or misinformed. I don't know who to call anyways.
Then I hope on here and it seems people today have been told they they are getting pushed to 2023 or have to reorder. Are they talking just 2023 MY or actually 2023.
I was hoping to see it May-June but if I have to wait longer it is what it is. What is no ok is having to reorder then get bent over again waiting and lets not forget the nice price increase for next year. My guess is $2000-$4000 more and higher interest rates.
How did I come up with that number? The city I work for was qouted for a snow plow for a F250 in early Nov and it was $9,300 under discount. That same plow a year ago was $7300-$7800. Since November we just got the funds together to go buy the plow and the new price was $11,800.

i wanted copilot as well, but opted for one that arrived on allocation, as i was on the top of my dealers Maverick list. Also wanted lux package. But i figured I'd grab it now, or I'd have to wait another year. Which wouldn't work as we had two cars being shared between myself, wife and daughter as I sold my 335i a few months ago.

No way I could handle another year of vehicle sharing...🤷‍♂️

Here's who to call. Might have to hold a bit. 1 800 334 4375. Dealer is either misinformed, incompetent, or actively lying to get you to drop your order so they can mark it up.

Someone was told they have to reorder for next year cause it wont git built and the wont roll over too the next model year.
I think it just means it wont be a 23 MY, just a 22 MY built in 23 MY.

The day will come when these trucks might not be in demand. When that day comes, know one knows now. Those dealers that were sticking it to people, will be begging people to buy their cars.

Just looked at your build, you have a lot of constraints, so the dealership may not have been lying. I would try to talk to them more about options as well as what they could do to make it up for you if you have to reorder once My23 order banks open up (which I thought was June?).

I forgot to update it the only think on there since early November is the hitch and co-pilot.
Still I wont cancel cause I can not afford the price hike that is going to come along with it and a even more longer wait.

I have read at least one other thread discussing people who have basically gotten the same call. It is unfortunate but I don't think the dealer is actually trying to screw you over.

If you have a confirmation from Ford (and the dealer did the ROVP), then you’ll get it in 22MY build. Only a few corner cases at the end might have to roll over to 2023, and your order date appears to be well before the cutoff date.

Ask your dealer to show you the ROVP. If he can, you’re probably good. If he can’t, he screwed you... Find a decent dealer before placing the 2023 order.

Just spoke to Ford marketing and they confirmed if you don't have an approved ROVP number from the dealership, your Maverick won't be built. She said they found this out today and the cutoff for Ecoboost is 2/2/22 (TODAY) for an approved ROVP.

I have virtually the same order in, except cactus gray instead of carbonized gray.. and an order date of Nov. 6th.... includes co-pilot & XLT Lux package, hybrid.... How many of these types of orders are getting cancelled

I have a thread that addresses this issue.

Your dealer is a little misunderstanding. They don't know that you will not get built in MY '22 with CP360. But dropping CP360 does increase your chances of getting built sooner. And maybe missing the model year cutoff.

Ford is not projecting to be able to supply all of the CP360 orders that are in the queue. But they have most. Some will be pushed out to next year if they don't drop 360. And it is a higher likelihood for those who ordered later, especially Hybrid.

Tim, aka FordVideoGuy mentioned that co-pilot is a problem and that you truly may get pushed to next year if you don’t drop it. I have it because of my XLT Luxury package but the stand alone add on Co-pilot are running low. Good luck

This fits with a discussion we were having a week or so ago about how "order cancellations" were possibly not cancellations but instead cases where the order was never full completed through ROVP.

Yes, that day may come, but I think it could be a long time from now. Once commercial fleet and government orders kick in, sales may actually increase quite a bit. Don't look for any "inventory reduction sales" anytime soon.
