No your priority changes first then much later you get a build date.. My priority has been a 2 since early Dec.
You know, I wasn't expecting mine so it was more like, oh, cool. Kind of like finding a $20 on the sidewalk.Congrats to all of you that got your production emails . Must be a great feeling to get one. I will probably pass out if and when I get mine
I ordered in mid-August and got scheduled today. And that's for a hybrid with a spray in bed liner. It will probably be August before I get mine. I ordered in August. It will be like a waited one-year reward.
That's half the story. Even if a small dealer gets allocations, Ford is still favoring and choosing builds from Long MacArthur, Granger, Chapman, etc. My dealer is in the region as Granger/Long MacArthur and my dealer can't get any scheduled because Ford chooses those dealer orders. And my dealer has allocations to boot, but they've been unfilled since November because Ford cares about dealers, not customers. Ford needs to just tell us what dealers to order from, be it a large dealer in every state, and order from them. But instead, they hide behind the allocation system and play favorites. There's still A LOT of people from June/July waiting to a build date. So if you ordered an Ecoboost, you may receive a build date in another month or so. IF you ordered a Hybrid, you're looking at possibly not receiving your Maverick until June-July? However, a lot is going to depend on what your dealership gets for allocations! There has been a lot of folks who've ordered in Aug/Sept/Oct that are exactly the same as orders placed in June/July yet they have gotten build dates because their dealership received allocations, whereas smaller dealerships have been over looked even with early order dates. You're best bet is talk to your salesperson to get an idea of how allocation they receive month/week that are picked for a build and then ask where you are in the list of orders from that dealership.
What?!?! NOOOOOOOO! I also ordered a Lariat Hybrid with the Luxury package. This was not the news I wanted to hear. I am with a "big town" dealer. Does that really matter? My dealer sent me an email yesterday saying that my June order for a fairly well loaded Lariat would probably be pushed by Ford to model year 2023. They simply do not have the allocations. I should have gone with a big town dealer, not a mom/pop operation.
Oh no worries, I figured that you were just looking for information. Yes, calling Ford Customer Service you'll be able to confirm if they have you're email address, because there have been a number of dealers that used the business email instead of the customer's. They can also confirm your order details and date received. As far as allocations, it's been an education for about 99% us! It's my hope that in the future Ford will come up with a better way to get customers their orders in a timely fashion where order day means more than allocations based on dealerships size, otherwise it could mean smaller dealerships could slowly go out of business as more people realize that ordering from a dealership with low allocations could mean long wait times for delivery. It will be interesting to see what happens in next year's ordering process. Thanks for the reply. Sorry if it came off as complaining that I’ve ordered two months ago with no build date. I know others are way before me (as I know others are after me with build dates). It was more that I didn’t receive an confirmation email from Ford but I’m going to contact customer service tomorrow to make sure my email is added on the order.
But thanks for the info on the allocation that I did not know. I would think this dealership would be considered small so I’ll be waiting and praying my transmission in my current vehicle does not go before my Maverick arrives! Thanks again!
I ordered the Hybrid, Lariat, Lux Package in August - no build date yet.My hopes are low. Order date was October 9th. Hybrid, XLT, Lux Package. Dealer told me when I ordered that a conservative expected arrival date was 6 months from order. I have not received a build date yet. Fingers-crossed for today.
Long term, smaller dealerships going out of business is exactly what Ford wants (but won't/can't say). Makes perfect business sense, deal with fewer dealers who more than likely are going to be in far better shape financially to buy/move high volumes.Oh no worries, I figured that you were just looking for information. Can you send someone to screw my head on right like that.I don't have a build date but I do have my health and my family (and a spare vehicle) so I'm good.
It'll happen...
To be fair I ordered in July from a large dealer (Chapman) and I continue to get passed over week after week. That's half the story. Point well taken. I think I'm just teed that Long Macathur got 100+ and 20+ last week while Ford won't even consider any dealers from my small mom and pop dealer in the same region. To be fair I ordered in July from a large dealer (Chapman) and I continue to get passed over week after week.
The entire vehicle sales model is broken. I'm going through the same thing with my Lightning order and ended up having to change dealers to one out of state. The only thing that should matter is time of order and Ford's ability to build it.Point well taken.
