I checked today on two dealer orders not yet delivered in Raleigh area. Markups were $2500 and $5000. The lower markup unit also had a mandatory $500 warranty extension. Both dealerships said they would do special orders at list. Looking at a nationwide auto search engine, typical Maverick markups are $5k and $10k. Some are higher.

I've seen several on the road in the Clayton area the last week. I was checking for my build date email today at a red light and looked up to see a cactus gray mav going through the intersection. That cactus gray looks almost mint green in this overcast weather, it still looked good tho!Just spotted at Panera in Holly Springs. Lookin good!

I'm going to inquire about potentially ordering. I was planning to reach out to CR Apex or WF first. Anybody have a specific recommendation regarding a sales associate to work with?
Also, I've not been able to see one in person, and the local dealers don't have any in stock. Do they have demo units. I think previously they were going around with Ford owned "trainer" units, but I'm guessing they're not doing that anymore.

I submitted an online order request and was set up with Larry Curtisford at CR Ford Apex. Super nice guy and he made extra sure that my build matched exactly what he had on their end. He was upfront and honest that the dealer "protection package" wasn't necessary, so we removed that fee and I placed my deposit. I was in and out in a few minutes and got the email confirmation the same day. No complaints so far!

I got mine from CR Apex, just make sure to reiterate clearly when your Maverick is about to be delivered that you don't want the protection package. They seemed to default back to wanting to have it on my order no matter who I talked to lol. In the end I got it all as agreed but I was worried for a while, you know how dealers is and all. My initial sales rep from months ago got promoted to financing but the guy who picked up my order was Steve Schmidt, he was really great to talk to when the Maverick came in. I expected to know more than him from crawling this forum for so long, but he was very knowledgeable about everything and went through every option with me and I learned a few things. I emailed him some threads from the forum about stuff like XL factory cruise pioneers, and the info about the FITS kit which I still don't have but I'm not sure I even care about heh.

Thanks for the feedback and detail! I'll keep an eye out for the "protection package". Dealers are really trying to push thses types of add-on's lately due to lower volumes.

I was surprised to see 2 vel blue hybrid Mavs at University Ford Durham - both look exactly the same and had stickers that said retail order. They also had a white one, maybe an EB stock unit. All XLs.

Jealous! My build date keeps getting pushed back. Looking forward to seeing my twin on the roads.
Took delivery of Lariat today from Leith Ford Wendell. No markup or add ins other than their standard ”documentation fee” around $500. Wanted to sell me an extended warranty like they all do. But didn’t insist. My replacement tank arrived early this week and the truck was ready to go yesterday afternoon. salesman Bob Lusk.
