If you didn't get an email than your order wasn't scheduled. What do you want them to tell you?
Are you kidding me? How about where it is in the line? Would be nice, right? I’ve said a dozen times if I ordered it and they told me it would take 9 months to get it and it’s definitely this date or time frame I would be TOTALLY fine with that answer. Checking every Thursday for an email is mental man. Estimate it at least?? Imagine ordering anything and not hearing stuff for MONTHS.

Damn. I ordered 6/30. Another depressing Thursday courtesy of Ford.
From one June 30 order to another, the pain will leave when we finally get the truck. Until then let's just sit back, there is nothing we can do about it.

There's really no way of knowing when you are going to be scheduled. Ford has no idea what part shortages they will have in the future. When they give you a random estimate, and fails to provide it by then, you would complain about that.

Speaking of ordering stuff and not hearing for months, I'm waiting on an entry door I ordered for my house back in August. There is a shortage and they'll let me know when it arrives. They estimated it would arrive in December. It didn't. A lot of good that estimate did huh?

Such a flawed system. Really is sad.

Well you automate it. I work in the analytics field. The jobs run and then people read the results. :)
Well, if Ford is running the analytics on this topic, here are some key words to analyze: I am frustrated, angry and disappointed with this process. There is no good consumer based justification for an ordering system that results in customers ordering the exact same truck left twisting in the breeze when others who order later get theirs scheduled.

As this is my first experience with a Ford purchase (despite special orders for many other brands), it has significantly diminished my opinion of the company. If they can't manage to get the customer facing communications and logistics correct, what else is getting screwed up behind the scenes? Because leaving communications to dealers in this setup is idiotic. They know little and aren't interested in wasting time with the effort it takes to learn and communicate on these orders.

Get it together or get out of the pseudo direct order model.

That's the rant for today. See you next week.

Guess going with a ‘poverty build’ XL isn’t helping, or Ford is just randomly scheduling builds, people both before and after my order date are getting emails.
