Spoke with my dealer last week. Said Hybrids builds were “ running out of parts “ would not say what parts but they were not chips. Said when they run out of parts there will be a 7 to 9 month delay. Any input?
I understand the concept of being sold out. That was not the case on 6/23 when I ordered. And when I’m told it could be 7 to 9 months before I see my truck it tells me someone was ill prepared launch this vehicle.
I spoke with my dealer yesterday ( Supreme Ford, Slidell LA ) They said Ford has a problem with parts ( go figure ).Didn’t say what parts or how many they could build. What they were told is that Hybrids would be built until they run out of parts, then there would be a 6 - 8 month delay.
I made my reservation 6/19 ordered on 6/23, Made two changes on 6/29 and 7/22, On that change my priority went from 19 to 02.
We've had three weeks of scheduling and I still don't have a built date. I have a Hybrid XLT,lux,CP360, hard roll up.I see others of similar build with dates.
I am stumped by this whole process. This is the first vehicle that I haven't just picked off the lot.
I reserved 6/18 ordered 6/23:
XLT
Cactus Grey
EB
lux
tow package
manual slide window
hard roll up tonneau
Priority code 19
Found out Hybrid could tow flat behind my motorhome on 6/29...
Contacted a local aftermarket dealer. He made some calls and could not find anything that would be available anytime soon.
One point he did make is that he has had problems in the the past with installs on unibody ( ie. Ridgeline ) leaking as there is no gap between the cab and bed.
Though...
