As the title says, I have been keeping the in truck wifi turned off since I got the Maverick. I don't use it for anything and it is also a possible theft vector from what I have read.
Recently took the truck in for a dealer service (oil change/tire rotation) a couple weeks ago, and ever since...
Havenāt calculated that out but subjectively it seems to be a slight decrease, say 1 mpg or so? Not enough for me to be worried about the difference anyway.
If the owner is a veteran this is an option. Pretty good prices (and tax free AIUI) and they will ship to an installer that should be close to them. (Firestone/Goodyear/Bridgestone shops)
Unfortunately they don't carry Michelin if that is what they want...
Stock size. Factory Contis were down to 4/32ā by about 35k miles. Liking them so far much quieter and smoother than the factory shoes. They do pick up alot of gravel though (gravel driveway)
Well this is my first car with remote start, thought that might have helped? Anyway the Maverick started fine other than the interior lights being off.
Yeah my 23 hybrid is still on the factory battery. Only went to power saving mode once when we went on vacation with the wifeās car, and I forgot to remote start the Mav for 10 days.
Reminds me of the old Nissan Hardbody small truck, they were everywhere back in the 90s/00s. They were dirt cheap base model but pretty much everything was an option from the radio to the rear bumper.
Recently helped a relative move to a new apartment. Put 350ish miles on the Maverick running back and forth, to Goodwill, the dump, etc.
Only got a couple photos of doing the truck stuff.
23 Hybrid XL, 34k no issues other than recalls. Do wish they had hybrid AWD from the start but otherwise love the truck.
Got a āthatās a really nice truckā comment this weekend.
Another problem with the design is that if the truck is left out uncovered, the defrost does nothing to melt the ice that builds up in the well area.
We had a pretty good ice/snow/sleet storm weekend before last, that filled the wiper area into one big block of ice. Wasnāt able to drive the Mav...
Neat. Be nice to have a easy reach spot to put a first aid kit; won't have to drag everything out of the back seat to get under it. (Put most of our stuff and a cooler back there on road trips)
Late to the thread, but IRT older cars when I was growing up in the 70s/80s my dad kept a box in the trunk of both the cars; with bottles of oil and transmission fluid and full sets of belts and radiator hoses, because you never knew when something would break.
Iāve been driving since the 1980s and canāt recall ever needing to get valves adjusted. Not even on the POS āPintostangā I drove in high school.
One of the reasons I picked an XL, Iām getting the full 1498lbs.
Kinda funny people make fun of the Maverick, but mine is rated for about 250lbs more than my sonās Nissan Frontier āreal truckā (not my sonās attitude, heās jealous of my hybrid MPG). Granted his is a 4x4 so carrying around extra...
