I have almost 2000 miles on my XLT.. no rattles or squeaks. I thought I heard a pop sound turning into a parking spot but that only happened once and could have been debris on the ground. All in all, the little truck seems very solid.

At about the 250 mile mark my Maverick developed a rattle in the dash plastic. It starts at above 35mph and is constant. I can't for the life of me pin point the exact area in the dash its coming from. Pushing on different areas of the dash does nothing to stop it. Anyone else have this problem? Is this something the warranty would cover? I pretty much just have to keep the radio volume turned up all the time so I can't hear it.
It’s just the speaker cover on the dash put a little felt on it

Well took mine to the dealer this morning at 10am for my various dash rattles and the rear windshield rattle. Thought they would call me within a couple hours but it is now 7pm so it looks like they are keeping it overnight. No call, no updates. Will update when I get it back.

Good luck! Looking forward to an update! Also, means they couldn’t figure it out or haven’t even looked at it yet! Ugh… hoping someone figures this out

I have rattles and pops in the dash as well on a Lariat at 2000 miles. I'm guessing it's coming from the A pillar and where it meets the dash, but not sure. Hugely disappointing that they're not able to get something this simple right...

I will definitely be going to the dealer once I find other issues.

Mine has the rattle sometimes.. It's a cheap truck with a ton of plastic, you kinda get what you pay for.

My last vehicle was a wrangler with a soft top and I had to practically yell to talk to any passengers when I was on the highway so I consider this a big upgrade! Also my Maverick doesn't fill with water everytime it rains so that's a plus too :)

Same with mine, solid.

It's amazing how you can find the culprit when you look around. Luckily for me the rattles I have discovered were, sun glasses, garage door opener, "stuff" in my door pockets etc. The sound really can throw you off sometimes haha!

I thought I heard something pop when I turned into a parking spot... I was worried for a few days until I realized it was something loose in the bed of the truck.

Got mine back from the dealer today. It was at the dealer for 2 1/2 days. They fixed the rear rattle but not the front ones.

My paperwork shows that the technician heard the rear rattle and fixed it but didn’t hear the front ones on his 5 mile test drive.

It definitely sounds like the dashboard fits too tightly or the frame of the car fits too tight around the windshield and causes little stress ā€œpopsā€ when the car is in motion or flexes.

According to the service report, they removed the headliner and there was a loose clip holding a wire that goes to the third brake light that they had to secure with tape and foam. They also mentioned a ā€œloadspace trim panelā€ was rattling as well but didn’t elaborate as to where exactly that was and how they fixed it.

I would have someone sit in the back seat and push up in different areas of the headliner to see if you can narrow it down on your car. If it is just a plastic panel behind the rear seat, it’s probably a DIY fix with some foam and a flathead screwdriver or credit card to shove it in.

I watched a video where this guy did a road test and he had a noise coming from the dash area as well.

My rattle started sometime around 1000 miles. The noise seemed to come from the dash area. I tried a suggestion from another forum .. removing the triangle mirror bolt cover inside the vehicle. Tighten the two mirror bolts and the trim bolt and then tape all touch points with cloth wire harness tape. This did not work for me.

Today Iā€˜m almost positive I figured it out. It was the actual hood that was rattling. Go to the front of the truck and grab the edge of the hood and try to move it up and down. When I did this, there was movement up and down. Open up the hood and locate the two rubber hood stops. They are adjustable. Rotate counterclockwise .. extend them so that when you close the hood it meets those rubber bumpers more firmly. There should be no play. Continue turning the bumper until all play is eliminated.

My rear rattle is back in full force and the front one seems to be getting worse as well. I am now %90 sure the front rattle/clicking has something to do with the fitment of the front windshield or the frame of the vehicle. The clicking is now coming from all around the front windshield while driving on smooth roads that have very little grooves and bumps.

I don’t believe the hood flutter is causing my rattles because my truck never had that issue. Maybe the dealer was aware of that before I took delivery and fixed it without even telling me.

The dealer scratched the hell out of my brand new nano ceramic tints on the rear window while attempting to fix the rear rattle and now I have to get it re tinted and bring the bill back to Ford. I believe the rear rattle is coming from the plastic trim UNDER the rear window and not from the headliner as the Ford technicians thought.
