I have managed to drain the battery on my Civic and it needs to be boosted. I hesitate to use the Mav Hybrid as I do not want to risk damaging the electronics. The owners manual doesn't explicit say NOT to use the Mav Hybrid as the booster vehicle but Ford does have a separate entry for jump starting the Mav hybrid (and it sounds identical as in the "olden days" regarding the sequence of connecting and disconnecting the jumper cables, etc.).
My husband and I are frequently out in the tulies, and we have come across and given the occasional jump start here and there.
I have ordered a TYPE S 8600mAh Jump Starter for future use and will call AAA roadside service for the Civic (because we are not out in the middle of nowhere) but was curious if anyone has given a jump start using the Mav Hybrid as the booster vehicle without causing a great cataclysmic event to their hybrid's electronics or any other unwanted/unintended consequence/s.
Thanks!
