I've seen lots of people talk about this have you considered getting a tonneau cover so that its at least a regular trunk?
Got one, works great and I can see out back window that a cap wouldn't let me

I own a 2024 AWD Ecoboost Lariat and love the Lariat toys.
I really really like my Lariats extra sound proofing. The Lariats glass can be installed on any lesser model if you have a break, about $40 more is all.
The B&O sound system shines because of the Lariat sound deadening package, as long as you’re not a person who wants everyone else to hear you thumping as you approach. If so build it.

In four years when I trade up I’ll pick a
Lariat Tremor.

No interest in hybrid tech what so ever.

Now if they Hybridize the AWD 2.0 Ecoboost and it’s Wonderful Turbo, and make it a plug in I’ll bite.

I pay attention while driving too, but an extra ounce of precaution is worth a pound of cure. That reverse sensing is great in parking lots when you have large vehicles parked next to you and the adaptive cruise is great in urban interstate driving.
Just more stuff to fail on the vehicle, and more likely to cause the vehicle to be declared a total loss in an accident, no thanks. I back into parking spots, no need for those sensors, the backup camera and mirrors work just fine. Don't do much freeway driving in the city, and don't use cruse control much, other than on big open sections of highway between cities that are hours apart, so adaptive cruse is not something I find a need for.

I'm not trying to say it's not good for some people, I just won't pay extra for it. Included in the base price? Sure why not? Have a nice day.

The only sound deadening in the Lariat is the front window, if you want real sound deadening it's a DYI project.

XLT all the way for me. Mid range quality in almost anything gives you the best bang for the dollar spent. Given the bluish interior trim, I felt the Navy Pier seats went very well with it and also with my choice of Iconic Silver for the exterior.

I found the color choice of the Lariat seats very curious. Unsure of the thinking on that.

Both mine were XL, love the black seats. Nothing I miss really. My 23 had $1,500 in options, my 25 has $4,250 in options. Added my own taste in wheels. Don't care for any of the factory wheels.

I would probably would still pick XLT, but unfortunately I can't get a new Maverick appointed like my current one, which is perfect for me. Forcing lux on the FX4 and Co-pilot 360 on the 4K package is bullshit, and would increase the price a few thousand for options I don't need or want. Considering that and the de-contented gauge cluster, I'm sure glad I bought a 2024 and didn't wait for Gen 2.

25 is not a gen 2, it's just a 3 year mid cycle update.

But the 25-26's have so many improvements it is definitely worth the upgrade, even if only for the Better trans, bigger Motors, and HD axles.

Adding AWD/4K availability, and a good infotainment system was icing on the cake.

Ok, whatever. 2025+...

Note that I mentioned FX4 (which means Ecoboost), so I'm not talking about anything with a better trans, bigger motor, or HD axles. Same trans, same size motor, same axles.

I also have no problem with Connected Touch Radio, so I don't agree with anything you said.

A lot more money for shit I don't need or want, as I said...

XLT. The Lariat made sense in the gen 1 models with its sync 3 upgrade and all of its goodies. But between the gen 1.5 refresh giving all trims sync 4 and the de-contenting, the Lariat is no longer worth the money over a XLT lux unless you really want to sweat with the unventilated leather seats. The XLT lux gets the lumbar support, heated seats, heated steering wheel, and heated mirrors, and the Lariat windshield can be added later for far cheaper then the trim level.

For the price Ford really needs to elevate the lariat Mav to be on par with other Lariats. 10 way seats with ventilation would be a good start.
