Retirement! A huge part of my Retirement Master Plan involves -- requires! -- a hybrid to ferry me along various day trips I have planned. I've been building a spreadsheet of all the interesting, "someday gotta get there" places within a days drive (budget restriction), or anytime I see someplace interesting mentioned. I'm gonna put each spreadsheet destination on a slip of paper, and at LEAST once a week stand, keys in hand, and say, "Where to today?" as I pull a slip out of the pot.

Retiring end of next year, sure hope my Mav makes it here in time! 🤞🤞🤞

Besides landscaping our home and building a pantry for my fiance, boating with my stepdaughter this summer. Was going to use my Maverick to borrow my parents Bayliner over the summer and make some memories. She turned 17 and this was the last chance for us to bond before she goes off to college next year.

LOTS of landscaping work. Actually, it's been okay cause TX was hotter than normal with less rain this year so it's worked out. Looking forward to using a truck to get some things done. :)

That sounds like a great plan. I often tell myself I should go there someday.

A truck bed is the same as a flat surface, it will eventually be filled once in a while.

I'm waiting for the hybrid brake problem to be rectified.

Just buying accessories. Only vehicle I ever ordered I wasn't positive I'd actually get.

Negatively reviewing my local Ford dealer at every opportunity.
Agreed..
Also not buying accessory until it’s home.
Driving 500 miles to see my Brother’s new home and help with that.
We have a ‘22 Ridgeline, but fuel costs less/mile in Maverick

I'm putting off all 15 things I wanted to get with my maverick from Ford. As Ford can no longer even source rubber for flipping floor mats or metal for a fricking trailer hitch I couldn't get anything I wanted with the truck.
Remember when Ford had rubber tree plants in South America and forged steel at River Rouge?
And now, playing Ford's game, and ordering 2 trucks - yes I'm one of those guys - I can't even get the things I want until the second truck comes in and I can sell the first one to Carvana.
