I'm not sure if the 2025 is different, but your state of charge (SOC) is probably below 85%, in which case the voltage will stay at 14.X when the truck is on, regardless of doors, lights, etc. However, once the SOC is above 85% the voltage will drop to about 12.8 unless you turn on the lights, fan, etc., that's when opening the door starts having an effect on the voltage.

Car Scanner does have a 12v SOC reading, that's what I'm using.
got a pic of car scanner soc I haven't found it

also in forscan you can change the state of charge from 80 to 95 a lot of audio people are recommendations that

so this is forscan lite on your phone? I asked what program everyone is using you're the first to respond

also mine in hybrid XL no push button is keyed ignition
So you do get true Accessory mode then - don't abuse it!
Because that is the 12VB all on it's own - and while you have an AGM, reports seem to indicate the BMS system is about the same as far as willingness to keep it fully charged.

Yep - Forscan Lite - $7 IIRC, plus adapter obviously - but worth it I felt with service and reset functions available.
I have Car Scanner too, free version for now, so I can use adapter in other people's vehicles to troubleshoot something.

Those other pictures are Scan Gauge II.

Sadly the drivers that have done that have never reported back with a SOC showing at 95% or better. Still down at miserable levels.
That's when the float charge seems to kick in, below 1A.

Also - it seems most do that when they got a new battery, new AGM - hard to say which was the beneficial change.
The 25/26 do seem to charge that AGM differently than pre-25 that got a new AGM.

Ah - it's gotta be side-loaded. Not thru Google Play.
I did it on old phone not connected to any accounts that are currently used, with wifi only enabled.
Just in case.
Maybe it got harder to install though.

then explain why my battery is charging with all the other stuff off?🤷🏻‍♂️
My MY25 XL Hybrid charges the 12V battery full time also (whenever the truck is in "ready mode").
I think there is a different charging scheme between MY22-24, and MY25/26? hybrids.
Maybe we will need a new thread when/if our 12V AGM battery's start to fail.

yeah but they say when it's 80% it goes to a trickle type charge
by forcing it with lights, etc like they say it forces it to continue the higher charge rate

this is similar to what a regulator on an alternator does, as the usage goes up the regular ramps up and charges it quicker

hope that's making sense

I’m not sure what I was doing wrong but I tried the last known setting.

When I shut the vehicle off my headlights remain on and I have to turn them off manually.

After 45 minutes of changing settings and testing both in park and drive, I ended up putting tape over the dashboard light sensor to achieve headlights on all the time.

Maybe Canadian DRL settings are preventing the last known setting of headlights on???
Tape over the light sensor ASSUMES that the automatic lights on gives the exact desired results that physically placing the switch to on. (Different code will be executed, resulting in possibility that the "charge the battery" code is not executed with the tape over sensor???). Perhaps we should have a battery save spread sheet comparing those who drive with automatic lights on for miles/time lights are burning to resting so of 12v?🤔🤗

Is Aux 12v battery the 12v battery in the maverick or that of a second 12v possibly either for backup or possibly a 12v in a trailer?

I'm not sure that leaving the truck on while you're not in it will add any charge. This morning I got out and left it running with the headlights on, and locked the door. The voltage dropped to 12.8v and stayed there until I got back in and closed the door, and it went back up to 14.4v.
I did a little more testing this morning and found the reason for the voltage drop when I exit the vehicle is the key fob leaving the vehicle, if I leave the fob in the truck and close the door the voltage stays at 14.4v, so those with a physical key in the ignition won't have that issue.

Funny how technology works…take your keys out voltage drops 🤔
