Have you received any messages for 'battery saver' or 'deep sleep' issues. If so that would explain the App not being able to remote start the truck. The truck automatically cuts power to certain 12v items to save power for starting the truck, activating the necessary relays etc.
My key fob remote start will work even if the truck is in the 'deep sleep' mode. That said the 'coin' type battery in my remote does NOT last year, even as little as six month with a cheap quality ;coin' battery and lots of use.

Ken
Do you allow your keys to hang where that cat in your picture can get to them?

The fob is supposed to go into sleep mode after no movement for exactly the purpose of making the battery last longer.

Unless that is malfunctioning. In a fob.

Or the cat is playing with them.

This is curious to me. I don't use the app so I don't see the deep sleep messages. Recently my mav (hybrid 24 19kmiles) no longer turned on the dome light when the door is opened and remote start wouldn't work. I took it in last week to the Ford dealer.
The dealer stated the 12v battery was bad, replaced it and claimed that every thing was tested and works (dome light, remote start). This was converted by warranty.

The remote start hasn't worked since I came home. I plan to call them first thing in the morning.

Side note: He asked if I have seen any "deep sleep" messages on the center screen which made me wonder because I haven't heard anyone else mention it here.
That doesn't appear in the center screen - he really doesn't know.

What does appear on the center screen is if you have the truck in Accessory mode only running the 12V battery down - you eventually will get a warning to turn it on or it'll turn off.

He's checking to see if you are killing the battery, and using the wrong phrase perhaps.

HeyBales, it's definitely not Roman (the cat), but as I mentioned in another post, a brand name fob battery and not using the remote start as much, has definitely extended the battery life.

Cool. I kind of wondered about that scenario but couldn't connect all the dots, Thanks.

I'll update here what I find out.

My wifes edge did this. Come to find out the hood latch switch (that says the hood is closed) went bad. Once replaced it works wonderfully.

If that is bad remote start will not work. It thinks the hood is open, (its a safety feature)

About a year owned and my remote start on fob and in app aren’t working. I’m planning to take it to dealer sometimes this week but am curious if anyone else has had the same issue and what was the fix? I’m thinking the 12v doesn’t have enough power to remote start and my next question would be is that going to be covered under normal warranty? I don’t have extended as I’ve been told it doesn’t cover the battery for the hybrid models
I hade so many issues so for 179 bucks put my own starter in i got from a Ford dealer. Took 1o min I don't use phone or that app anymore works right off same fob

My remote start only works standing next to vehicle, 25 lariat hybrid, when trying to start from a window in house only 10/12 ft from vehicle nothing, my 22 XLT eco I had would start from 20/30 ft away. disappointing on those cold days. I will mention it next service, But I know what there going to say and because I only drive around 5/6k a year it will be summertime at my next service.

Sounds likely your only choices currently are to (1) continue to put up with it or (2) go the trickle charging route that many other the hybrid owners use to keep their 12v battery charged

Try 2nd fob OR replace battery in fob. Could also be interference affecting fob frequency. Try remote starting from different locations outside. Also remember that Max of two remote starts can be done prior to actually starting and placing dial into a gear (R/D).

Delete the app and then reinstall. Could be a hangup in the app itself. Ford just upgraded the app and yours may be having trouble connecting.

Well, this turned out to be an ID10t problem. I wasn't using the proper key combination on the fob. The guys at the service desk were pro cool about it. Seriously though, the remote shows the remote start button has to be pressed twice, having to press the lock button (exactly once) right before hand seems needlessly complicated to me.

As I said more than once. The truck has to be locked for remote start to work.
ETA: They probably have a white board in break room and added one more tally in that column.

Lock button once, start button twice! When I got my 24 it told me that in the “manual”, a piece of cardboard that came with the manual and a “quick “ intro pamphlet. And salesman explained it to me also! Also spent a lot of time explaining how a lot of other things work cause “I’m a Boomer”. First technically advanced new vehicle I’ve bought since ‘97.
