About a year owned and my remote start on fob and in app aren’t working. I’m planning to take it to dealer sometimes this week but am curious if anyone else has had the same issue and what was the fix? I’m thinking the 12v doesn’t have enough power to remote start and my next question would be is that going to be covered under normal warranty? I don’t have extended as I’ve been told it doesn’t cover the battery for the hybrid models

Have you received any messages for 'battery saver' or 'deep sleep' issues. If so that would explain the App not being able to remote start the truck. The truck automatically cuts power to certain 12v items to save power for starting the truck, activating the necessary relays etc.
My key fob remote start will work even if the truck is in the 'deep sleep' mode. That said the 'coin' type battery in my remote does NOT last year, even as little as six month with a cheap quality ;coin' battery and lots of use.

Yeah fob with remote start works, even if the app does not. The battery needs to be almost dead before that stops working. It could very well be a low battery, or something else.

interesting that yours die so fast, I’m still on the original batteries in my fobs 3+ years later, but I have the flip keys. Even my vehicles with intelligent access never had batteries die that fast. Ford must not be using a very efficient system, or you keep your fob too close to the vehicle while parked.

try replacing the battery in your fob(s). Mine stopped working all of a sudden last year. Replaced the battery in both my fobs , a simple process, and it worked fine. But it could be a weak 12V battery voltage/deep sleep, etc.

Says no active alerts, where would I look for codes?
Push lock button twice on fob. One honk = truck can lock and barring something else remote start should work. Two honks = truck cannot lock (doors not shut good or good not totally latched, don't remember if tailgate has to be shut) so remote start cannot be done if truck cannot lock.

If you bought the truck new you should have gotten 2 FOB's.
Try your spare fob. If it still doesn't start, lock or unlock. It is not the battery in the FOB.
The fact that the app on your phone isn't working. Leads me to believe, that it might be the 12V battery in the Maverick.

This makes no sense to me, how do you get codes from that? Or is this another hybrid only thing?

You do not get a code, it is just one of easy things to check quickly if the remote start can or cannot be done. Perhaps one of the doors is shut but not lockable. Drop by dealer and have codes pulled or buy a reader.
Don't forget. If you remote start the truck and the timer runs out you must put truck in gear and drive it before it will remote start again. Max idle time 2-15 minute remote starts or 1-30 minute remote start. This is to prevent carbon monoxide accumulation.

Icegradnor, I think one reason that my fob battery died so fast was the new 'novelty' of having a remote start and old school thinking of getting the oil circulating. Also the spare fob hasn't been used since I checked when I took delivery). XLT , with turn key to start and NO proximity entry. I would be pressing the remote 4-5 times (lock-unlock-lock to start) and 1 or 2 more to unlock the door s. That combined combined with dollar store (get what you pay for) batteries.
The last battery is a brand name 2032 purchased at a buy local hardware store, now a year old and still going. Also not using the remote start as much as I used to,
Ken

It should have gave you an alert
There's also a wrench icon on the app with alert history

This is curious to me. I don't use the app so I don't see the deep sleep messages. Recently my mav (hybrid 24 19kmiles) no longer turned on the dome light when the door is opened and remote start wouldn't work. I took it in last week to the Ford dealer.
The dealer stated the 12v battery was bad, replaced it and claimed that every thing was tested and works (dome light, remote start). This was converted by warranty.

The remote start hasn't worked since I came home. I plan to call them first thing in the morning.

Side note: He asked if I have seen any "deep sleep" messages on the center screen which made me wonder because I haven't heard anyone else mention it here.
