I belong to a rarely mentioned group: 'War Babies'. Conceived in Europe during WW2 to Canadian Serviceman & British Servicewoman, then born in Canada.Since Maverick's introduction in 2022. We are now moving into model year 2026.
It is time for a new poll, highlighting the age range of Maverick owners.
I think it would interesting to see how the demographics have changed.![]()
Depends on which survey you fit into. Qor

I was still writing advanced R&D code in the research division of a Fortune 50 at age 65. I used to love when some patronizing youngling would patiently explain to the "decrepit Boomer" how feature X worked. You have no idea how rewarding it is to answer, "Well actually I wrote that. Let me show you how it really works".Yeesh, feeling somewhat insulted since I've had a computer since before I was fully out of short pants, and was building them before the last of millennials were born (And online before that too). In fact I tend to find that the upper latter half of millennials cannot accurately distinguish between memory and storage and wouldn't know a root directory from a hole in the ground.
Now I feel bad. I hope you’re around for a long time yet, Glen!Be patient, it's less and less each day.
I'm a realist. I know, I don't have all the time in the world.
Supposedly you're the one that Ford Marketing was targeting as the ideal Maverick customer. That was before all the Boomers decided the Maverick was a good idea.Younger millennial here. As an outdoorsy person with an active lifestyle, the Mav is a great fit for me. Hauls the dog, my bikes, my homebrewed beer, and anything else to wherever I need to take it!

There are MANY exceptions to the generational labels/stereotypes, for sure. Age/generation of your parents, where you stand in the order of your siblings both are couple of things, IMO, that can have an affect. I just thought your comment about Gen X not being tech savvy didn't fit my experience, but that applies to the rule of exceptions as well. There are exceptions to every rule. But my entire high school class is in the in-between era and we all feel the same. We don't really fit in with either Gen X or Millennial.
I'd imagine so, and I think that plays a part for the Gen Xers as well, at least the older ones. My wife had a nice '88 5-speed Ranger super cab when I met her in '89. I was driving a Bronco II at the time.It may be that we Boomers just missed our small LUVs, Couriers, etc, so when the Mav came out, we pounced!
As a Boomer, I could not afford the 1st gen 1972 Maverick. ($2,000) Three of my friends bought Mavericks. (Blue, Yellow, Green) I am still friends with my buddy who bought the Yellow Maverick. It may be that we Boomers just missed our small LUVs, Couriers, etc, so when the Mav came out, we pounced!
Still miss my ‘77 Ford Custom 4x4, 351, 4 speed, locking hubs even. Special order in ‘76, took only 4 weeks!I'd imagine so, and I think that plays a part for the Gen Xers as well, at least the older ones. Born in 63, would never consider or call myself a boomer, I go with Gen X, the S&H is far more accurate.Boomers are born through 1964, not 1960.![]()
