Will the bed power outlet allow you to run most small power hand tools ? Like drill motor or grinder or a crock pot. Thanks 2025 xlt fwd hybrid

You get 400 watts.

Check your appliances.

Best bet for tools is run battery tools and use the 120 volt outlet to recharge batteries. If you have 2 or 3 batteries you can recharge faster than you can use them up.

Google can be your friend.

Crock Pots usually have variable settings from 75 watts to 350 watts.
Should work.

Corded drills are 450 to 1500 watts.
Probably will trip your breaker but it's all relative.

Drilling with a 1/16" bit may take less then 400 watts.

Driving large screws may take 1500 watts when you get up around enough torque to stall the motor.

IIRC the generic black and decker, fixed speed (600rpm?) feature free hand drills with a 3/8 chuck are rated at 3 Amps, so could work unless you flog them.

You beat me to it! I was going to suggest a kill-a-watt. You can plug it in to a house outlet and see both start-up and running amperage. Lots of things have the same drain for starting and running, but some things with motors have a big spike when starting. I think the outlet will just shut off if it is overloaded, but I"d rather check first than give the truck something more to think about

It’s a good Marketing item but not so much for real world application imo.

It's been extremely useful for me a few times, powering my Noco 'Genius 10' 10 amp battery charger and allowing me to recharge my camper's LFP battery
Also charging tool batteries and my laptop

Same here, a crock pot is the one of the few things it's good for.
