This trim seal strip seems to have fixed my dash rattle.

I decided I didn't want to take my maverick to the dealership over the rattle, too many horror stories from people. I saw someone else saying this worked on their maverick, tucking this into the gap between their windshield and dash as much as possible.

Tried to today, so far so good. I used to get really noticably thunking noises from the dashboard when driving over road imperfections. Took it for a short test drive of a few miles, dead silent.

You'll need to cut a small piece off the end but this seems to have done the trick. If you have rattles but are worried about your dealer making it worse, try this first.

Wishing you guys the best, drove it again and it was still being much quieter than that used to be. I pushed it basically flat so you basically don't even notice it. It sticks up a lot less than how it looks in that photo.

God knows I've called it too early with a lot of things, and who knows, maybe the rattle comes back a week from now. But early impressions are promising.

Yeah the kit came with what looked like a mini crowbar which I didn't use. Using my fingers was more than enough to get the job done to my satisfaction. Oh boy that sounds suggestive...

I’m going to give it a try. Dash noise is nil for me during summer but winter is coming. The cold weather always brings crackles and rattles from my dash. If noise is coming from dash/windshield contact this should work. If it’s coming from elsewhere maybe it will at least dampen the noise.
Relatively cheap experiment.

I used he same method shortly after getting my truck. Not a 100% fix, but it did help considerably with my dash rattles.

eh as long as you were ok with destroying it a fishhook pierced into it would yank it out i bet.

i ordered one, not because of dash noise, but to keep all the dog hair flying around my cabin from building up down there. it's hard to get out, the texture of the dash makes it damn hard to clean (maybe i should use a crowbar...)

I don’t understand your question. Are you insinuating the rubber strip will expand and break your windshield? It will not, it’s rubber, windshield is glass, vastly different expansion rates.

Are you curious about UV detiration? I assume it’s the same as all the other rubber/plastics on our vehicles.
