Depends on which octane gas you use. Add the sum of your octane numbers, subtract from 20, then times that by 1000 to give you your interval in miles.

For example, I use 87 octane.
8+7=15
20-15=5
5x1000=5,000
So my interval is 5,000 miles.
YMMY, but I hope this helps!
Thank you all.

2025 Hybrid. How do you decide when to change the oil?
Do you trust the "onboard oil quality monitor" to decide when to change the oil?
Do you go by the mileage?
Do you listen to the dealer?
On my previous vehicle, I used to change my full synthetic oil every 10 to 12 000 miles. My dealer put a sticker after the last oil change, to change the oil again in 4000 miles. Why to pay more for full synthetic oil if I still have to change it that often?
I looked for other discussions on this forum about this subject but, surprisingly, I found none.
Thank you.
I use the actual miles - the electric miles to determine the correct time. I use trip odometer 2 for this.

Do what gives you peace of mind. Got my first hybrid oil change at 4,500 miles and from this point onward it will be 5,000 miles regardless of how it was driven. Simpler for me to keep track of all vehicles if the change is in increments of five. 🤷‍♂️

I'm the same. I'm changing my oil & filter (plus tire rotation) every 5,000 miles. As said, it's easy to remember. plus, living is a cold region where we routinely see single digit or colder temperatures in winter is hard on the oil with not only the constant start and stop of the engine, but the engine constantly runs cold (frequently only 2 or 3 marks up the temperature gauge, which is top of the blue or very bottom of white). So it wasn't surprising my oil was black on first 5,000 mile oil change.

Plus, it's still pretty cheap doing it myself at about $45 for Mobil 1. Therefore, I consider it cheap insurance.

I changed the oil whenever the reminder goes off

What a field day for the mods
A thousand members all at odds
Debating oil intervals how long
Mostly saying I’m right and you are wrong

Stop members;
What’s That Sound;
Everyone’s Popcorn;
Poppin’ Loud

Advertising Runs Deep
Into your wallet it will creep
Scaring you to change oil now
Dealership is the only one that cares anyhow

The on board oil life monitor is very good.

It's the #1 most accurate way to do oil changes.

Proven over time and by thousands (millions?) of owners.

If you drive fast, hard, or tow, it reminds you sooner.

If you drive very gently, it will remind you farther down the road.

14,000 very gentle miles = 10,000 average miles = 6,000 harsh miles.

Don't know if you are driving harshly or gently? The computer does.

How many times can you cut a piece of string in half then halve the halves?
You would have to stop cutting once the piece is a Planck length long. Need sharp scissors.
