OK. I am going to be a PITA. The title of the thread was "When". That was today. The title also reads "first oil change". Therefore there was no previous oil change.

Yep…the attention to detail is spot on. They set the pins up…. you bowled them down. 😂😂😂

Previous oil was the factory oil which you changed today. Yes, the OP did not ask for miles or months or what your oil life monitor read - but like I said - I’m nosy. And gathering data on the functionality of the oil monitor algorithm. 🤓

DS did not specify if his oil change “today” was east or west of the International Date line. His oil change may be tomorrow from where I’m sitting. Details are important when it comes to your first oil change.

Oil changed starting at 10:17:21 EDT

I am both east and west of the International dateline.
5800 miles East of the IDT
13800 miles West of the IDT
(Following 37 N latitude line rather than the Great Circle Route)

OLM% was 27% (BTW. Even though reset to 100% on the truck it has not updated on Ford Pass)
Miles were 9100.

If OLM% was based solely on mileage (lame) it would have shown around 10% - so gives me additional evidence that the OLM% is not lame.

If the OLM% was based on 12 months, your 27% would indicate an oil change about 9 months ago. Again, I’m guessing that is not the case & the OLM% uses more than just miles & months - but will drop to 0% percent once 10,000 miles or 12 months happen.

Ford recommends 10,000mi or 12mo whichever comes first. Seems OLM% hitting 0% will come last…violating the warranty if you wait that long. It is a conspiracy I tell ya!
