'22 - pure base 0 option CG hybrid, 30k miles, never had a problem, 45 mpg (i drive pretty much all city) ice cold a/c, paid 22K out the door, 6k left on a 2 percent loan, will be buying the extended warr thru Granger though. Wish new ones were in the 25K range where I would sell my current one and throw the warranty money towards the new one but I'm good with where I'm at. We'll see over the years in terms of reliability I would say it will still be hard to beat my '83 Corolla that I got 200K miles on, and besides basic maintenance only had to replace alternator once and it never ever broke down and it never rusted.

The fake leather is over the top. I never would have thought anyone would have the guts to market synthetic/vinyl/artificial/cheapie materials and upsell them as something premium and desirable. But here we are.
Mercedes Benz has been using synthetic leather (TEX) for years back in the 70's, and 80's. It wears like iron, never rips, or gets holes from use. Only problem is it gets flat when the foam inside the pleats deteriates.

Best is such a vague term since we all have different histories, perceptions, needs, desires, priorities, etc. It's not the nicest, fastest, most practical or even the most fuel efficient vehicle I've had (53 before it including 6 motorcycles). It ticks all the boxes right now though, so for today I would say it's the best vehicle for my purposes.

Have a 25 Hybrid, AWD w 4K tow. Definitely best vehicle I have ever owned. Absolutely love it. That being said, this is my first new vehicle purchase so not used to that new vehicle price tag/payment. Compared to other trucks of similar capabilities, yeah it's cheap though I suppose. Best value would have been the 2006 Tundra that I bought for $9k in 2017, and sold after I purchased the Maverick (at the beginning of the year)for $7k with 246k miles on it.

The Mav is the best vehicle I have ever owned. Age 68 here. Never owned a “big deal” car. Blue collar Detroit all the way. Now own a ‘25 Hybrid AWD (even though I think AWD is way overrated- even in Michigan) with the A Plan (for everyone-not a Ford Employee here) and had a ‘24 Hybrid that I waited 18 months for and got the $3400 Ford deal. Between the MPG, the ride (came from an Escape) and the utility for me no vehicle comes close.
this is one of the best Forum questions that have come up. It has generated a lot of interesting ideas. Here is one, perhaps. Having owned many vehicles over these 50 plus years (and perhaps 3/4 of them Fords of one type or another). I remember, as some of you old timers might, as well that, Ford corporate slogan in the early 1970's was "Ford has a better Idea". This was absolute advertising B.S. In fact, I say that the best Fords of that time were very rarely advertised at all. My Cortina GT was a great driving car, which I tried to drive to death. This car was replaced by the Pinto. Not really a great Idea. Same thing with Ford Probe in the 90's. Both of these vehicles which Ford really did not want to support and became difficult to own. In the first case it was an English import, and with the Probe it was a complicated history, but I will tell you that I had some difficulty with replacement parts after a time..
With Fords decision 3 or 4 years ago to drop Focus and Fusion, I thought at that time, it was either stupid or desperate and perhaps both. I will say now that this "Better Idea" slogan would be much more appropriate now in promoting the capabilities of the Mavericks Hybrid system. I think there will be continued resistance to full EV.

Can't say "best ever" yet, but definitely in the "winning" list:

1982 Honda Civic Wagon
1974 Checker Marathon
1989 Toyota Van
2014 Ford Transit Connect
2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid

If the Transit Connect plug-in hybrid had been offered for sale in the US, I may have gotten one of those instead of the Maverick- but loving my Mav so far.

Another forum newbie here...
I picked up my sub-8k mile '23 XLT hybrid (demo?) just over a week ago, and I'm having a ball!
Best car ever? That's pretty easy, since all my previous vehicles were well-used near-clunkers that I proceeded to drive slam to death!
The closest thing to an issue I've had was interior lights that wouldn't come on when the door opened, but a local dealer (Dobbs Ford in Birmingham AL) fixed AND replaced the start battery under warranty.
There was the Vega my dad bought new back in '72, but it was basic car for the day.

"Chevy Vega? Best car I ever owned." said no one ever . In 1979 I was 20 and had a new Monte Carlo. When I got my girlfriend pregnant at 17, oops, we eloped. After a couple of weeks I bought a 73 Vega with 148k on it for $150 so she could drive the new car. That was the way things went for 42 years. That Vega got a tank of fuel and 2 quarts of oil a week.
Hey, the Vega ran pretty good for the couple of years I had it... :like: Even though I was a teenager, I didn't push it very hard. By the late '70s, I had moved onto some real clunkers...

By far, it is better than the 2015 Prius I drove for 7 years. Faster from a dead stop, gets the same gas mileage in the city as my Prius, and, its a truck! Got tired of rolling out on my knees to get out of the Prius.

I had my '87 Mustang GT for 37 years, and it only left me stranded once, when the plastic Hall FX sensor in the distributor wore out from vibration and started rubbing against the slotted interrupter. The Maverick is certainly a joy so far, but not without a few warts. The annoying battery discharge situation (deep sleeps) remains even after SSM 53801. My hybrid has developed (10K mi) a sort of rattling noise after cold starts that I find unsettling. Many of Ford's design choices serve them better than me, but that's probably because I want to make small mods to suit my taste. It's impossible to remove some trim panels to route a cable without damaging some of the retaining clips. You cannot easily replace incandescent lamps with LEDs. Many features are implemented in software and are therefore untouchable. Ford has intentionally made self-service unnecessarily difficult to compel customers into their dealer's service bays, but that's common to all other brands as well. I think the bottom line is that I love my Maverick, but the "best ever" title will take another 25 years to earn.

I recently purchased my 22nd vehicle I’ve owned. A 25 AWD Hybrid Lariat. It’s the 3rd Maverick I’ve owned. The Maverick is definitely in my top 5, maybe even top 3 I’ve owned! Hard to beat.

It SHOULD BE but my 23 XLT, although it could have been, quality is aweful. At 4000 miles, garage kept and only in the rain a couple times is rusting. The pain chips off if you bump it. I kid you not, a blade of STRAW scratched it all the way down to the primer. The tires look like they have 60,000 miles and it is just now at 12,000 miles. It has been in the shop 5 times for the dead battery issue and it is goi g into deep sleep again.... Besides a multitude of quality issues, I do get about 48 mpg and it drives nice. I asked the dealership about the paint and rust and they said Ford requres them to read a statement to me. Basically kicking the can until it runs out of warrenty. The dealer is so sick of all the issues with people's Mavericks and the number of issue swith mine that they recommended I file a formal complaint.
