It’s with a heavy heart I’m posting that my Maverick is totaled.
I was t-boned yesterday on the way home from work by a guy going 70 that ran a red light, he struck my front driver fender and door.
Thank god this little truck is the perfect height and very safe or I wouldn’t have walked away with only a few bruises.
Could’ve been a lot worse and I’m thanking god and Fords safety features in the Maverick that I’m still here.

Like everyone else said, glad to hear your injuries are minor, that you’re ok. I’m also amazed at how damaged his vehicle is versus your Maverick. Hopefully insurance takes care of you to minimize the inconvenience.

His story was he was late leaving work and in a major rush to get home so he ran the light as he didn’t see anyone in the intersection, no impairment, just an idiot in a rush

Pretty impressive for being tboned at 70, I would have expected the maverick to look a lot worse.... not that it looks good.... was expecting worse though

I think that the hit was not at 70mph, both vehicles would have been obliterated in a T-bone incident at that speed due to how much more energy is involved than even 10 or 15 slower. That looks much more like a 35-40 mph impact even if they started at 70MPH because braking happens before most impacts. Still, impressive showing for the Maverick and yes, this is the kind of thing we bring up whenever someone complains about how easily they break... it's for a good reason!

It looks like whatever he was driving spun outta control. You can at least tell it’s a Maverick, not sure what the sedan is. You were lucky! Keep a piece of the Mav (the tray inserts) as a memory.

I feel for you. My 2024 XLT Hybrid was in a less severe but similar collision back in April. I got my settlement from the at-fault party’s insurance relatively quickly, but, wasn’t able to find a new hybrid maverick to replace it finally until this week

Police would have arrived and idda been taken to jail. Because they would have found me beating the crap out of that idiot. Not for destroying my truck but for nearly killing me.
