Can always get another Maverick. After looking at the damage done to the speeder, it's nothing short of a miracle that you are ok. Your Maverick did remarkably well ... 70mph crash is deadly serious. No secret that drivers are becoming increasingly more dangerous on our roads. In some heads red lights are for other people. Stay safe out there. Check and double check before entering an intersection.

I'm beginning to think people all over are nuts. It has gotten to the point that when my light turns green, I take the time to look both ways to make sure everyone will stop before I proceed. I've witnessed too many red light runners to not do that.
I have been doing that a while, has saved me three or four hits.

It’s with a heavy heart I’m posting that my Maverick is totaled.

I was t-boned yesterday on the way home from work by a guy going 70 that ran a red light, he struck my front driver fender and door.

Thank god this little truck is the perfect height and very safe or I wouldn’t have walked away with only a few bruises.

Could’ve been a lot worse and I’m thanking god and Fords safety features in the Maverick that I’m still here.

Sorry about the truck. It was obviously a bad experience to deal with. The good thing is you made it out okay and that's what counts. You now have the opportunity to move on which is good. Think of the positive and the hopefully a new truck!

Glad you're okay (but when something goes wrong, call Ann Phoong 😁)

So, is that an official/insurance total? Looks bad but for how new a blacked-out Lariat that is, I'm actually surprised they won't try to fix it. Or maybe you've got the free replacement w/ your insurance (none of my business). We can't get that in California. I'm shocked that guy would admit that he was doing 70 mph.

Thank you guys. Yes I went and got checked out and faired really well considering the circumstances, only some bruises on shoulder, arm, hip, and leg, light head gash and bruise and a concussion.
Sad to see the Mav go but again thank it for its safety as I’m still here
Waiting on all the insurance stuff, gonna be a long week lol

Glad you seem to have come out of it all right, and thankful to the Mav for taking care of you. It's wild to me that people think even a slight risk of accident is worth driving recklessly, this guy is going to pay for this in so many ways.

Blessed! I am feeling frustrated at the other driver. What a punk. I hope that his insurance company can get you in a new Maverick Lariat with the BAP and give you a payday quickly.

The RARE AF 2024 Maverick Lariat with the Area 51 paint job and BAP (which was definitely a long-awaited custom order) will be next to impossible to replace one-for-one. They are going to have to break you off something nice.

I believe my forehead injury was from the airbag yes, small price to pay for keeping my melon in one piece and keeping it from going through the window due to how hard he hit me
Good to see that the Maverick did its job and you came out of this ok.

I disagree that your head injury was because of the airbag.

Your head injury was because of the door rail and the roof rail hitting your head because of the side impact.

The airbag significantly decreased how hard the door rail hit you.

Sorry to hear about the accident but glad you're ok! I just went through a similar situation myself. A women pulled out in front of me and I t-boned her Jeep Liberty with my 2017 Hyundai Elantra. I was traveling at 40 mph. My Elantra was totaled, cops gave her 2 tickets. First off, it took me a month to get the check! Secondly don't take the first offer the insurance gives you. Tell them you'll contact an attorney if need be. Fortunately, with all the headaches it caused me, I was able to find a leftover 2024 Maverick XLT FX4 w/4k tow package. It was everything I was wishing for since they came out. Color and all! Added bonus was the Leer low profile cap. (And yes, I prefer the 2024 over the 2025 refresh, just my preference) Hoping you recover quickly and find another Maverick to suit your needs! ✌
