Yes, that’s a big worry. The only way for you to overcome that vexing life stress problem is to give your truck to me before it happens. Only then will your worries subside. PM when you are ready.

I have thought if something happens to mine that I'd be very disappointed that I likely wouldn't get another for some long period of time. Not like you can just go buy one to replace it. But worrying is not worth the effort as that will hopefully never happen.

I just found out how real that worry is through no fault of my own. I cant get another to replace mine and I will be battling it out with the insurance company for the forseeable future.

Have to wonder how many others worry if they have a wreck with their Maverick it will be "totaled" by insurance co. if cost to repair is high. I have an XL Hybrid that cost me just over $22k. Won't take much damage to get to over 50% value to repair. I can see the insurance Co. totaling the truck and being unable to replace it for what I'd get for it.
Consider insuring maverick for MSRP + 15-20k. Yes will be higher premium, but....

Live Fast! Worrying will kill ya!
This is actually true. If you were destined to crash with your normal driving, all you have to do is drive a little faster than you think your should that way you are ahead of the wreck.

I say years it is as easy to total a Maverick as it is any other vehicle that isnt a body on frame truck. And honestly these days those are only marginally more durable.

Seriously just dont wreck. If you are about to say well it was out of my hands, a drunk hit me, I got rear ended out of no where. I call bs on that. Drive actively, watch your mirrors even when you arent moving. Scan intersection dont just trust them. I've had a couple wrecks. The ones at 16 and 18 were my fault, young and dumb. The one when I was 21 was a semi controlled no option deal. Learned from the mistakes of my youth. Got my CDL a couple years later then really learned how to drive. Havent even had a really close call in ages. I have a wife now and we wont ever have a wreck, because I am paying attention. Not thinking about anything other than what I am driving, where it is going, whats around me, or what others are doing. I know it sounds all "Im better than yall" but seriously just try paying more attention to your drive and you will notice more and more hazards. Too many to count but knowing is half the battle.

It's not a question of driving safe and avoiding accidents. It's a question of vehicle value, cost to repair and availability of a replacement. With any vehicle only costing a little over $20k there is a strong likelihood even moderate damage will result in a "total" claim with today's cost of repairs. Then to try to find a like replacement vehicle any time soon in unlikely.

I do not normally worry much. I have noted on the forum that it does not appear to take much for the Mav to be totaled.
That's the case for a lot of vehicles right now, mostly because of their scarcity and inflated costs when they can be found.

However, perhaps because I became highly urinated waiting for the food
Becoming highly urinated is sure to be bad for your bladder and kidneys, and since the Mav doesn't have a built-in bathroom unless you're carrying a bottle or a cup or similar, it's best to get that out of your system before it builds up.

Seriously though, worry about what you can control, prepare as best you can for the things that you can prepare for, and live the best life you can, because we only get one, and spending it worrying is a terrible way to live.

Everytime I read a quote from Mark Twain, it just screams common sense in your face. Something that is becoming a rare commodity these days.
My favorite Twain quote:

"Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of congress. But I repeat myself".

Good 'ol Mark and Will are two of my favorite authors. "Alas, poor Ford. I knew him well" ;)

I've been hit pretty bad before and the cars have been repairable and looked good after. I think some of this is a temporary problem and hopefully parts and labor will improve. Also body shops will know how to fix Mavericks at some point. I agree with driving aware- 50 years of motorcycle riding will teach you that.

……. However, perhaps because I became highly urinated waiting for the food, I was already blaming my wife if I hit a deer, my Maverick was totaled, and I could not order before MY24. So yes, I guess I do worry about it!! o_O P.S. I did let my wife know that I was not a happy camper. After being married for 45 years, you can "sort of" get by with doing that......
Lol, you said highly URINATED 😂

my first laugh of the day, thank you 👍

Or if you are a female NASA astronaut intent on murdering someone across the country, you just wear diapers and go whenever you feel like it.
