60. just got mine last friday to replace a 2013 F150 company vehicle I had for 6 years.

2024 Lariat with the tow package + wheel/tire upgrade options.

Not a bad upgrade. It's a fine truck-like vehicle.. im looking forward to a nice little upgrade plan next year hopefully. I'll be reading up in here on stuff like options to increase power, from my import hot roodding days I've got a little experience with boosted motors and making power ;-) , probably looking at intercooler upgrade first and prob a little lift + bigger tires..It feels like its slammed after driving a stock F150..

Having current tech/connectivity etc is very nice. The F150 was a bone stock STX.
I JUST found out the B&O stereo in these is pretty freekin' BANGIN!.... I finally connected my phone to get some of my favorite music up after a bike ride last sunday, and Holy Smokes! it sounded fantastic,....by far best OE sound system I've ever owned.

It ain't a proper truck,............but i'm good with that.

67 and retired. I had a beautiful 17 Colorado Z71 2wd. (yes they made them). But after going though hell with transmission shudder recall, (turned out GM used a bad new trans fluid that absorbed water and foamed), and a rear diff that kept detonating, I sold it at peak pandemic used car value and invested the money in Nvidia and Tesla while I shared the wife's car for a couple of years. Was hoping the Ford skunk works would make an electric small pickup which would be perfect for my use case, but lord knows when or if that will happen, so I bought my xlt hybrid with lux and 360 and had a few grand left over. Got 38 mpg highway from Amarillo to Dallas yesterday with a little help from a tailwind. Love this thing.

My Daughter is 38 and she actually bought one before I did, a 23 Area 51.

58 years young female and loving the ride. Wanted one since it's debut. This is my third truck over my lifetime. Not coming from a truck, but have a '17 Subaru Legacy will all the necesary bells & whistles that still runs great. I needed something for my kayak, bike, and love for yard work and gardening. Still missing my old 1995 V8 champangne Thunderbird with a smooth sailing 4.6L engine.

2024 AWD XLT Equip. group 300A
4K tow package w/moonroof (a must have for me).
Cheers!

33, male. Just bought a 2025 XL in Velocity Blue. First time truck owner.

The "family car" is a 2022 Corolla. It's a great car. However, we have seen fit to become a 2 vehicle household recently.

I needed something that will let me haul stuff from Lowes occasionally and gives me plenty of space to mount ham radio gear - without the price tag, size or gas mileage from something bigger (like an F150). The Maverick is bascially perfect for what I need.

Owned it about a month now and so far very happy with it.

67. I never buy new and this Maverick was to replace 2 vehicles. A 3/4 ton 2004 Dodge Ram Cummins used for hauling the fifth wheel across the country. After the wife went into assisted living I sold the RV and kept the Ram. The 2nd vehicle was a 2018 Chevy Equinox diesel and I had it since it was a year old and piled on 80,000 miles. I was approaching the time of a $4,000 maintenance on it if the timing belt which is a wet belt between the engine and transmission.

Since I was down sizing I went from 2 vehicles to one and this the first modern Ford I have ever had. The only other Ford I have had was 1966 Ford Falcon that I restored

I’m almost 38. Traded in my F-150 because I was using it as a commuter vehicle. That didn’t make a lot of sense. Excited to spend less than half on fuel.

55. XL hybrid fwd. Basically, I long said that if anyone ever built a Prius Pickup, I'd buy it, so I did.

I'm firmly within the age demographic. Moved from a '12 Nissan Frontier after the transmission died at 205K miles. I went with the Maverick because I mostly use my truck for hauling my dirt bike to trails and race events 2-3 hours from home. Wanted something I could still put my bike into the back of (trailers SUCK at events with tight parking) but would get better than the 19MPG average the Frontier got. I had been eying the Mav since they were released but couldn't justify buying a new truck when my Frontier was still working just fine. Happy I was able to get the EcoBoost AWD model. The Hybrid would have been nice for the improved fuel economy but seeing all the battery issue threads on here makes me glad I got what I did. AWD will def help with the "getting stuck in wet grass" issue I used to have to deal with when I was driving the Frontier!

FWIW, the EcoBoost has battery issues too. Even a recall.
I have not had any 12V or HV battery issues with my Hybrid.

I spent many months researching to go from a full size Silverado, prior had a F-150, to a small or mid-sized truck. Ruled out Toyota ans Nissan immediately because the ride and ingress is just as bad as what I had. Narrowed down to Ridgeline (never really card for Honda although being in a couple of their plants before and impressed) and Maverick. Many of the reviews and articles I read said Ford picked the name Maverick not as a nod to the old car but to the target customer demographic. They were targeting the 25 to 35 young environmentally conscious urban or suburban dwellers. I think the buyers are much older. I personally am 66 and the first time I saw one I thought "a 4 door Ranchero finally." Just curious if I am correct in my thinking but most of the drivers I have seen are at least over 40.
THOUGHTS?
Oh yeah, I’m a young 66.

It's funny that I was just wondering that myself before I saw this post and was about to start one myself. Although my nephews, nieces, and younger cousins and others think it's cool, I've noticed that I haven't seen any young people driving them . I'm 60.

I don't think Ford expected the Maverick to be so popular with Gen X and the Boomers. I bet at least half of the trucks are purchased by people over 40 years old. Myself included. I wanted a truck that was smaller than my Ram and more fuel efficient with new tech and a better ride. Somebody did a poll a while back, if you can find it. I don't have good luck with the search option on MTC. 😬
Well. It's popular with boomers the youngest boomer is 60. 😅

Haha you got a huge generational split for sure but I don't think everyone is over 40. Everything is so expensive that you have to be well off if you're under 40- you have to have a need or desire for a normal sized truck and then also be able to afford the hobbies and such.

I do always enjoy reading posts and seeing people that hate technology, comforts, etc. and I've been doing this for 30 years and you're not going to change my mind.

Also being flat towed is apparently a big deal - which is apparently very important if you own an RV.
Seems like the young folks just buy used f150s for the price of the new Maverick. But come to think of it. The Courier, Luv, Datsun, and Mazda owners were a bit older too
