Every time I start my 2025 Lobo, the AC is on. Is there a setting I am missing?

Probably because it's set on auto and it's hotter than what you have it set to in the cabin.

On my "23 XLT, I try to remember to simply press the temp-select knob prior to shutdown. This turns the entire HVAC system "OFF". (fan also)
Start the truck, reverse the procedure.
Maybe this is a solution for you?

Don't necessarily agree.... I do have "auto" on and in both my prior Escape and my Mav Air often comes on, even in the winter when the temp outside is teens (garage temp probably in the 30's). Pain in the ass. Seen other quotes on this website where they are saying it could come on if it detects that the humidity is high as well.

It's a "feature" of the 2025s where the HVAC system kind of does what it wants.

I've got it now where more times than not it is doing what I want but every now and again the Mav disagrees with me and goes rogue.

Just have to sweet talk your girl a bit.

Yep, this is true as well. I haven't personally experienced it though.

I always just turn air off when I shut down. One click, done.

Perhaps somebody can post a video of the truck being shut down with everything HVAC off and then restarted showing the AC being on??
I don't have access to a 2025 otherwise I would do a video of this phenomenon.

This is a new feature on the 2025's. Cars have done this for quite a while. When the AC light is on, it does not mean the compressor is running, it means the compressor will run when called. Temperature goes up, compressor runs. Defroster on, compressor runs. No need to turn it off.

WRONG.....the compressor runs, (cycles), even if not needed! I typically run my vent especially in the morning when the temps are in the 50s and low 60s. I usually have the fan on 1, and the temp set to low, to move outside air in at whatever the ambient temp is....When the AC light is on, the air is noticeably colder, when I turn the AC button off, I get ambient air! It's annoying, and I don't need Ford deciding for me if the AC needs to be on!!!!!!!!

I NEVER have "Auto" on, and it still does it in my 25 Lariat....NEVER did it in my 23 XLT!!!
There's Auto because you have the Auto button pressed, and there's auto the truck does on it's own attempting to protect the inside of your windshield.

I was replying to poster asking how to "unset" the Auto setting the prior post referenced.

You probably never noticed it in 23, but unless yours was broken, it did.
