Yes, If you completely shut the fan off, this is the only way in the 2025 to prevent it from coming back on after restart but if you just want the fan on and power it up again, it fires up the AC whether you want AC or not. It helps a little bit doing this because you can warm up the car in the morning without the AC but as soon as you want just fan air, it kicks on the AC and is all just kinda annoying. It would be great if it was just like the Ranger or other cars. If you leave put it in Auto mode, it comes up on its own like many want it and if you turn it off it remembers your setting.
Part of the issue is that those with pre 2025 cars have knobs so they can't relate to those of us that have all digital controls which adds to some of the aggravation because I have to take off my sunglasses to see when driving to exactly tap off the tiny AC button on the screen and to see the fan up and down sliders. A lot of pre 2025 people are very vocal about how it's nothing burger because they don't have the same controls.
