My Maverick has been out of service for nearly six months for a sensor wiring harness that is in stock and being installed in new trucks by the hundreds every day in Mexico, yet is on national backorder since 2/11/25. I feel betrayed by Ford motor company in the name of corporate greed versus supporting loyal repeat customers. Currently, the parking sensor wiring harness SZ6Z15K867BA is due to ship 6/23/25 which I expect my emergency backorder will be canceled a third time and the repair date will be pushed back even further. After only driving my Maverick for three days and less than 500 miles, I vote a resounding NO due to lack of support!
what the heck are you talking about, "out of service"?

that is a park distance sensor wire. can't the truck be driven without them? you can disable the park distance sensors in the driver's info panel, and if they're blocked when you start the engine (towing or hauling is a good way), they fault out and you can drive normally whether you hit ok on the pop-up notification or not.

... you are driving this truck, aren't you? no way it's parked over an issue such as this.

So was there an issue with this sensor wire on the early built 2025's and it's been fixed on the newer builds?

no, the person reporting that issue is the only one I've heard of.

I have backup sensors on my Maverick and I have both forward and backup sensors on my Bronco. I am pretty confident both vehicles could be driven with them faulted.

Yes and no.
if I need another, yes.
But I probably won’t get another. Given my age. In Oct, it will be 2 yo. And today only driven 5,6xx miles so far. And it’s in the garage. Gets the maintenance when needed. Hoping it still around my last days driving.

It's best not to judge ppl without all the facts. The Ford Dealer body shop disassembled my Maverick on 2/11/25 and will not begin repairs until all of the parts arrive. Can you drive this?

It's my understanding that the 2025 parking sensor harness is different than previous years.

wow.

did they give you a loaner at least? if not, I'd definitely be talking to them about reassembling it and driving with the fault. that is brutal.

Imagine the thrill of having your second total knee replacement and having to climb into a 7'-2" tall F-350 with more than 30 staples in your knee. I bought the Maverick to make my life easier, not more complicated. So I bought a cheap Silverado to get me to physical therapy and Dr. appts. My other vehicles were not roadworthy or have two wheels (motorcycles). At only three weeks post operative, I'm able to pull myself into the F-350. It ain't no picnicking.

I did call Ford customer support today and I have a case number. After all, I've only spent $170,000 on new Ford trucks since 2020 and I don't like being held over a barrel for a $135 part when I know that they have them in Mexico.

I couldn't get my leg into the compact car suggested loaner and it would not be able to get into or out of my land without AWD/4WD during the flooding we had at the time. All of my vehicles have 4x4 and good tires and after several thousands of dollars, all are now roadworthy except the cheap Silverado that needs the new brakes installed that I bought. I'm almost able to do repairs myself.

Yes, I would buy it again in a heartbeat! I have had this 2022 Lariat Hybrid for Just over 3 years and almost 60k miles. New set of tires at 50k. I extended the warranty to 100k so I can keep it another 3 years. Getting 35 to 40 mpg in a pickup truck saves a lot of dough! The Lariat has all the bells and whistles. I would've bought the 2025 but all the changes they made were not necessarily better and the 30% price increase convinced me to let go of my 2025 order. The green color sure is pretty though!

I got my first Maverick in October of 2023. It was a dealer demo XL. I had a 2023 XLT on order, but had no idea if I’d ever get it.

My 2023 HPR XLT finally arrived and I was excited. Almost two years and 6,000 miles later, I am disappointed in my little truck. Deep sleep, backup cam, interior scratches that make it look older than my 2018 model S and the list goes on.

If it wasn’t covered by a $0 deductible warranty until 2033, I’d probably be getting rid of it. I might get rid of it anyway. I can’t imagine ever recommending buying one to a friend.

Bottom line. I would not buy another Maverick.
I got my '23 Hybrid Lariat Lux in March of '23 after waiting 17 months from original order date. The Only issue with the Lariat was that deep sleep started after 6 months, dealer replaced oem battery, 6 months later Deep sleep again, so after reading positives of having an AGM, I just bought one off Amazon for $139 instead of waiting 4-6 hours at the dealer for "TESTING", and no more deep sleep issues. Never had an issue with the Radio or camera.
I feel this is the best vehicle i've ever owned (and most expensive $34K OTD) I Would Recommend any model of '25 Maverick Hybrid to anyone and everyone because these issues are gone. The smooth trans, quiet ride, great mpg, easy to get in and out of. I guess the extra $$ the Lariat cost me saved me some grief.

15 months and 16k miles later......Heck yes!! This little trucklet is so versatile and inexpensive to drive-I'd buy again in a heartbeat . Recall for backup camera glitch is the only time it's been back to dealer . Warm weather fuel mpg right at 46mpg.....cold weather mpg 36 mpg . Yes , it is my go to ride for obvious reasons . The Taurus , Fusion , Mustang , and F350 are enjoying the rest........:)

I own a 2022 Lariat Eco, in which I have not had a moments trouble from it. There has been no deep sleeps or anything. It is a pleasure to drive and handles exceptionally well. That being said no I would not buy another one or recommend it. My truck only has 22K miles on it but the interior looks more like it's been driven 122K mile because of the low grade cheap plastic they used on the interior to keep cost down. I swear the cheap plastic interior you can look at it, and it would scratch. And lets not talk about the constant recalls, no not me not again.
