Same issue with Lock/Unlock and Brake Light. I had the Ford Service guy watch as I did the stepped on the Brakes after the recalls were done. After replacing the with the factory bulbs, the issue is resolved and working now.
so if it works with factory bulbs and not LEDs it may not be so much of a bulb problem as a vehicle issue using LEDs. just triaging this to see if there's some correlation with the LEDs and the recalls. I know the Lariat trim doesn't work with the LEDs and Lasfit has removed them as an option for Lariat owners. You have an XLT so Id be interested in hearing what Lasfit has to say.

After reading dozens of post regarding this, in my opinion it appears that the latest tailight recall has snuffed out Lasfit's LED's compatibility. I am sure they are working on a fix to have their LED's work in tangent with the latest recall, but until then, one may be out of luck.

I would agree!

As a follow-up to my previous post (https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/removed-my-lasfit-backup-and-turn-signals.44210/), my LASFit bulbs failed again. This was my second pair, sent by LASFit as a replacement because the first set also failed. I've had my 2023 XLT Hybrid since June 2023, and both pairs have failed in this short time. LED bulbs should not be failing this early, raising concerns about LASFit's quality control.

I also had my recalls addressed today at my home with the Ford dealer Mobile Service, but the bulbs still didn't work after the updates. The service technician suggested I follow up with them because other users are also experiencing issues with LED bulbs, and identifying unreliable brands would be helpful. I replaced the LASFit bulbs with the original incandescent ones, and they worked perfectly. Given the repeated failures, I’m reconsidering using LEDs.

I've emailed @LASFIT with a video as they requested and am waiting for their response. Changing these bulbs twice, considering their cost and that they were the latest version, is frustrating and undermines my confidence in LASFit. While my switchbacks, reverse lights, and cargo/brake bulbs from LASFit are working fine, the turn signals are problematic. LASFit needs to improve their quality control to ensure these bulbs last as expected. I almost want a refund, but I bought them off Amazon and then when those failed, LASFit sent me the new ones. The side of the bulb that failed was the brake light, the running light still works for both sides. Last thing I need is to get hit due to faulty LEDs.

Below are a photo and video.

I am coming here to post my exacttt same story. They sent me the updated bulbs and my left upper bulb has taken a crap at about the 2 month mark.

If ANY bulbs don't meet the factory specs for resistance, they're not going to work right with how computerized everything is becoming. LEDs draw way less power than incandescent bulbs.

I just got two more replacements from them this week. Not sure I even want to try. Eventually the screws holes will wear out by taking the taillight housing apart too many times. I have done like 6 or 8 times already and if they are poorly designed, they will likely fail again.

I feel that, I reallllly like how they look with the led’s but am not a fan of pulling them apart every few months. I’m probably going back to stock for tail lights and leaving the rest of the led kit in there and have stock tail lights

I think, I'll stick with my switchbacks and forgo any of the brake light tail/turn signal options.
I may switch out the backup and cargo lights to brighter LED'S.

I really like the white light that the Switchbacks provide, when my headlights are on. Then of course they flash Amber when you use the turn signals.

I bought and installed the LASFIT 3rd brake light LED and the back-up (cargo) lights above the rear window, back in June of 2023. I like the brightness and the color, but one of the two back-up lights (left) started flickering maybe 3 weeks ago, so I swapped between the left and right and reseated them. But, the defective bulb is still flickering (now right).

So, I called LASFIT but they told me that their warranty lasts only 1 year so I should buy new ones. That's it!

I haven't replaced other incandescent bulbs (turn signal, brake lights etc) because none of them have failed so far. I'm quite irritated that of all bulbs, the aftermarket LED bulb failed first. I will not buy from LASFIT again. :frown:

Sorry to hear that. It's frustrating.

IMO, the problem with Lasfit and other Chinese crap designs is that they aren't heatsinked well enough for their output, and they simply get too hot, reducing their overall lifespan dramatically. There are other manufacturers like OSRAM that are well-heatsinked, don't have outrageous outputs for their design, and have lifetime warranties. Unfortunately, I have only found these for the taillights, not the third brake light/cargo locations. So, I have the good ones in the taillight housings but, like you, have Lasfits in the cab-mounted housing. I'll keep my fingers crossed, and keep the OEM bulbs for backups.

LED modules when designed properly should last much longer than incandescent bulbs, and shouldn't require backups.

I've got the red LASFIT lights in my taillights. Theya re very inconsistent. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Not always the same failure too. Sometimes it is running lights, sometime only turn signals. Each bulb also does its own thing.

I gave up on LastFit a long time ago. I was/am completely happy with the factory setup in mine but I wanted a little more brightness for my backup lights and the clear cargo lights. Bought the LastFits before my truck was delivered. After the 10 month wait to get the truck I installed the LastFits, they didn't last that long, so I purchased the Diode Dynamics led's, been a happy camper ever since. Zero issues after several years now on the products that I purchased - granted their different bulbs than what this post/thread is referring to. IMO, Great company and their products are Quality stuff from my experience and from all the things I've seen posted from numerous forums. Highly recommend Diode Dynamics based on my experience.

LAS-QUIT , says it all🤬. Found some really bright ones so far and have lasted a year. Did go into forescan and disable the outage. I’ve went thru 3 sets of LAS-QUITS and gave up on them. If you go to hi-power ones with fans, it will kill the BCM on the brake modules. The front turns will take what ever hi-power you toss in. I found the ones that are 4 sided or 2 sided work best with the reflector. These are what I ended up with.

If you think Lasfit is representative of all aftermarket LEDs, you are mistaken. Spend some time looking at and using quality products and you will be very happy.
