I'll respectfully offer another opinion. I couldn't wait to get rid of my OEM continentals. I replaced with Michelin Defender 2, which are a superior tire in every way. There are multiple threads on the site about replacing the OEM Continentals, if you're interested. You can see a bunch of opinions.

I was pretty disgusted to see how badly the Continentals had worn at only 30,000 miles. Since replacement, the truck corners better in all conditions. And quieter too. FWIW, it was around $750 installed for to replace them at a Quick Lube (I think that was the number), but I had a military discount for $100.

If you want to price new Continentals anyway, get a reference price from Tire Rack online, then shop around your local tire stores.

my OEM continentals lasted oh about 18K miles - i had them rotated as per the specs, inflation was always proper, I do mostly city driving - tire guy said that city driving allowing for the extra torque from the hybrid and the regen braking tends to wear them out faster - I was down to 5/32nd on two of them at about 16K, 4/32nd on the others - the factory ones it would appear come with only 8/32 tread so maybe that has a lot to do with the relatively quick end of life. I bought some Arrivas, they're reasonably priced, they have a less soft ride as opposed to the Continentals.

I bet you could get a take-off set for $50 a tire, on MTC or ebay. Just check the 4 digit date code make sure they're not too old. If you're in the piedmont and costal plane you many not need a mich defender.

I go up to the mts and the Contis have been just ok. It's a light weight tire that's been easy on the car. I like that they wear out quicker b/c I have mich xice for the winter. I'll get the contis again or maybe the mich primacy.

I found a set of bronco sport wheels with the same Continental tires mounted, on offer up for $250.

My 2 on the front wore out really fast, due to driving with bad axles??? Not sure...

They just aren't worth the $150 ish price per tire in my opinion...

They are $126 each at discount tire.

As far as OE tires go these seem reasonably good, but I don't know if I would pay full price for them. You can get a set of near new ones with 8/32 tread on eBay for $53 each. Probably not too hard to source some new take offs for similar money.

Much as I don't think it makes sense to skimp on tires, Michelin's are $200 a throw these days, and I guess it is a little more environmentally friendly to use new / like new take-offs if they are safe tires.

Keep in mind that what you buy at the tire store will be better quality than the factory ones. Side by side they come with more tread depth. Just the nature of retail tires vs OEM. That said, I'd still buy Michelin's over the stock ones.

This^^ agree 1090% almost all makes use garbage for their stock OEM tires.. Im looking forward to these wearing out on my 23 so that I can get something decent instead.. if I had more $$ than I do to toss around for stuff like this first thing id do buying a vehicle is Tire/wheel change...Id not even take delivery with stock ones if it was up to me and not my wallet lol.

Following. 31,000 miles on our factory continentals and they look and perform as new. Great in snow also as we live in northern michigan. And ,I never rotate tires.

I ruined one with just 800 miles on the truck. My cost was $220 for the tire. They are not much of tire. Ruined another one. This time I ordered a set of Toyo open country. They are working well in the snow we currently having.

I shall replace mine ASAP as they do not have enough traction on snow and ice and too "light" for off road.
I am thinking about maxis tires

I had Yokohama Geolandars on the '12 Escape I drove before taking ownership of the '22 Maverick.
I know they worked great on the Escape and am leaning towards trying them on the Maverick when the time comes. Currently at about 48K miles and half tread.

Yeah can't wait for these to be gone enough to justify replacing them they are mediocre on dry pavement, bad in rain, and abhorrent in snow.
