Whats the price on Continental stock tires

Why on earth would you buy more of a universally poorly rated tire when there are so many similarly priced alternatives that are much better?

I was just looking at tire rack - Yes, for $5 more per tire, you get eco tech, and you get 12/32" tread depth on the Crosscontact LX25 vs. 8/32 on the Procontact TX. You get 25-30% more mileage per tire than the original. I think that if you want to stick with Continentals, that's a pretty good deal.

Yep, have a '20 Pilot with LX25's and my previous daily driver had LX25's. Smooth, comfortable, quiet and long tread life.

I just replaced the stock Cons on my 2023. The tires only made it 22.5k. I checked on warranty and it wasn't worth it. I just slapped a set of GoodYears on my truck and so far so good. I was really disappointed with the Cons. They are rated at 65K. Basically since I had 59% of my warranty Con will give your 59% of a new set but you pay shipping, mounting and balancing etc. It just wasn't worth it to get tires that really didn't hold up.

I believe this is OEM ProContact TX it has the 8/32" tread 24 lbs. The second pic is of the Con TrueContact Tour which has 11/32" tread has heat activated polymer tread. It weighs 25.2 lbs. I believe the true contact has lower rolling resistance than other contact lines. Note that the 235/65/17 (not shown) weighs 2.4 lbs more if I remember correctly. Not sure but the 235 true contact has max psi of 51 lbs vs the 225's 44 psi which I believe is due to steel belt vs fiber belt. (??)

You can probably get a take-off set CPC TX from MTC for next to nothing. I'm happy with the CPC TX but I'd prefer a retail version, which might have more tread. I'll get 30-40k out these light light duty tires while switching back and forth with my winter set.

I do believe the engineers did their research in choosing the OEM tires. They chose a light weight, efficient tire that's easy on the suspension and axles. Unless you live in the mud, I'd stick with it. And yes, I slow way down on gravel roads.

To whomever said they are Known universally to be a poor tire, many who aren't messing around with all sorts of changes to their Mavericks are finding the OEM Conti's to be a good tire. Proper inflation and routine rotation, may keep them running quite awhile. I checked out the tires on the internet, when I first got my Maverick. The reviews are very favorable, and my local tire dealer said that manufacturers do not produce a lesser version of a standard tire for the automakers. If an owner likes the tires why wouldn't they consider that brand again?
I have noticed many of the non-recall problems on the Mavericks appear most frequently on vehicles owners have "modified!"

Search tire makers for OEM TIRES. Example Michelin Primacy on my lariat according to Michelin if you need OEM replacement Ford and Toyota in 225/60/r18 both meet fords specs but not primacy's for other manufacturers. The after market 225/60/r18 primacy have 9/32" tread (probably different compound) instead of OEM 8/32". (Seems like a different car maker was using 8.5" tread most likely in custom compound maybe with different ?). Discount tire advertises "exclusive" versions of various makes of tires. (They have purchased 50k or more tires made like they want) and no one else sells "exactly the same tire".
