This might sound nitpicky but I've had my 25 EB for a month now and today is the first rain we've had since I got it. It is annoying as hell that the water collects in those "troughs" on the hood.

Check to make sure the troughs are not blocked. They should drain out (pretty good size drains) close to the fender on both sides. Leaves? Just noticed Boise! I'm in Fruitland. Howdy neighbor.

My one pet peeve is people calling the Maverick a "trucklet" !
It is a compact/mid size truck; and the only truck made that still fits me and my garage!
Hey, it's not our fault you only have a garagelet!

nah. BAP is just cosmetics, and if you like it and can afford/justify it, you buy it
Kind of like how wealthier witches get extra moles, a humpback, and exotic angles for their teeth that the young pretty witches can't afford!

My pet peeve is no heads up display is available for the Lariat trim.
There's a a bevy of aftermarket ones to choose from for under a couple of hundred dollars.

I may drop to lariat trim for my F-150 and get those instead.

Beware that the cheapest ones are nearly useless.

The small driver's side mirror. Why is it shorter than the passenger side?
It's not really bigger. It's just closer than it appears!
🤪

Me and my wife interchangeably drive it, i’m 6’2” and she’s 5’7” if I hop in after she drove it I am instantly smashed to oblivion.
My father banged his head enough to need bandages more than a couple of times on my mother's Rav like this. I have no idea why he didn't get one with power seats (OK, he was probably annoyed at the salesman for suggesting it and cut off his nose to spite his face  ). So it has this idiotic hand pump. He's 6', my mother is 5'3", and he just can't get in where she leaves the seat.

For me the biggest one is stop/start. It is a bummer!!!! But, I still love the truck!

No Homelink.

I'm going to amend my previous answer:

The one peeve is that Ford didn't do enough to make the Lariat the "high end" trim level it should be. All the technology, programming, development, and design for the extras in the Titanium and Platinum levels in the other Ford cars and trucks has been done, why not include it? Homelink, HID, Park Assist, cooled seats, and there are probably others I'm forgetting at the moment. At least make them an additional option package!

Added an auto dimming mirror with homelink the second day I had my truck. Wired to be powered off when the truck is off.
Just got my Maverick, thought I would not miss that….
nope…
I miss my Homelink.
Do remember what model it was and where you got it from?

My biggest pet peeve is the ordering process and how Ford lumps options together in packages that are absolutely terrible value, it's especially evident on the '25s.

I'll toss in one more pet peeve I have but it's more of a "Why did you do it like this Ford?!" that just runs through my head whenever I run into it.

The order of Drive Modes just doesn't make sense to me for what the Maverick is and was designed for. In my truck they are Normal, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Eco, Sport. Considering I have the hybrid, I think it would make way more sense if it was Normal, Eco, Sport, Tow/Haul, Slippery. I tend to want/need to access Eco and Sport modes way more often than the other two but I always have to scroll through them first which is just annoying.
Apparently you can use Forscan to reorder the modes. I haven't done it myself but I believe you go in and deselect them all, then click them back in the order you want.

Odd?? 23 EB Lariat. I have the complete opposite peeve. My window switch is so sensitive that unless you are really quick the window always goes all the way up or all the way down. It is almost impossible to get it to stop at any point between full open or fully closed.
The Lariat window switches have 2, or is it 3, "positions"? Just barely press/lift it instead of a full press if you don't want full up/down.

For the FX4, at least on my '22, the lack of any decent access panel for oil changes. The entire skid plate, two sections, needs to be removed every time. It's not hard to do, but just seems like a lack of engineering foresight.

Deep sleep mode is my pet peeve! I hate getting into a dark truck at night, or early morning in the winter months. Ford replaced my battery once, but did not fix the issue.

The model number I used was a KIA A7062-ADUP1. This model has HomeLink, Compass and is dimmable. You can check, Google and call around different KIA dealers, that is what I did and found one in Kansas City. There are several different other models from what I can tell, but some don't offer all the options. Here are a couple install video's I used, pretty decent.

I also have some posts on here on the site you can search about install and have a few photo's also. It really is pretty simple install. I cut/spliced my own wires, I am comfortable with that. If not, there is a fella (maybe a couple of them) that offer a plug and play cable, which would make it very easy. Good luck!

Gentex I believe is the actual manufacturer of the mirror and quite possible Toyota and Honda (maybe others also) use the same mirror. You can get those for about $40 bucks give or take. I forgot to tell you, if you call a KIA (or anyone else for that matter) with the KIA part number (A7062-ADUP1 )and they tell you your VIN number shows it is not compatible, tell them it will in fact work and to go ahead and sell it to you. Most of them will do it.
