I also have a 3D printed tailgate hole cover as well.

I've got well over $1k worth of accessories to install.
That's one of my favorite hidden mods, you use but don't really see..

They are expected to be available again in early January.
Will those coming available have upgraded hardware to resist the rusting? Or, will these be in a future upgraded version?

Should, if not definitely get the coated bolts from Home Depot. I replaced my bolts with the coated ones from linked here from Home Depot for $11.00.

I am right behind you in the $1K in accessories. Will be way over that by the time the Maverick gets here & warmer weather.

Yeah this is just the basics. Doesn't include window tint ($500+) or the Tuwa Pro rack ($800+) or any accessories for it. Also doesn't include the Elevate TS rails for the bed cover.

Tint, ceramic coating, cerakoting MIC plastic, rust protection, bed cover, all weather floor mats, mudflaps, receiver area cover, underside cover for hole to bed....all necessities in my opinion.

@MABETT - Any update on availability? Picking mine up Thursday and already disappointed I won't have this ready to install from day 1.

Would be nice to get it soon.
I checked the backend on Amazon, and it's expected to be available on January 8th, though there might be a one or two-day variation.

The current batch has longer bolts and an increased hole diameter, but it doesn’t include other upgrades yet. We’ve already passed this feedback to the development team, and there should be an upgraded version in the future.

The inspiration for this product came from an earlier post, discussing how to provide protection for the underbody blank area behind the rear left wheel. In addition, many people privately messaged me asking if I could develop a product to provide protection for this area. Meeting the needs of our customers is our mission. Therefore, in the end, we managed to create it.

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Mabett Underbody Cavity Shield Cover for Ford Maverick.

Buy directly via the link below, 20% discount exclusive for MTC.

Why you need the Mabett Underbody Cavity Shield Cover?

This concerns the open cavity at the bottom of the vehicle behind the left rear tire(Perhaps some of you are not aware of this).

There are a lot of exposed wiring in this area. The interior body panels are open and the tail light assemblies is visible. Accumulated dirt and mud in this area, along with salt and snow can lead to potential rust issues. Our shield cover can solve the problem perfectly.

Key Features

Enhanced Vehicle Defense:
Whether you're navigating muddy backroads, snow covered streets, or rocky trails, the underbody cavity shield cover well protection pad silently guards your vehicle. It keeps your vehicle’s underside clean and free from rust and dirt buildup, no matter the road conditions.

Durable, Rust-Resistant Materials: Built with premium aluminum alloy and coated with a corrosion-resistant finish, this cover offers long-lasting protection in any climate.

Noiseless design: The pad fits perfectly against your vehicle, securely in place without any rattling during your drive.

Quick and Simple Setup: Easily secure with screws, no need for any vehicle modifications.

The initial batch of goods has limited stock. The discount is available for a limited time of one week. If you need it, do not hesitate.

Ok so I just spent an hour getting this reinstalled.

4/5, but hopefully this pic / tips help others. ( Apologies for the crappy pic, hard to get good lighting and position the phone to get a high quality photo )

Pink circle is a frame bolt that is not visible here, above the tailpipe.

1. Install Plate 1 and do the yellow bolts into the nut retainers. There were a huge pain to get threaded. leave these loose

2. Add the larger frame bolt in ( circled in teal) leave this loose

3. Put plate 2 up, and make sure the 2 brackets you installed are close if you flex/ move things around. It is easier to readjust these with plate 2 not attached. If needed adjust.

4. Put the 2 orange bolts into plate 2 leave these loose

5. put the brown bolts in, then the pink bolt

If you leave everything loose, you should be able to shift / adjust to get it all lined up. I also unclipped the wires wrapped in the aluminum / heat tape and move them a little higher ( near the teal frame bolt / left brown bolt )

I will probably go back and remove the frame bolts, put fresh green Loctite on and torque to spec if someone shares the right torque.

From a coverage perspective, this is perfect.

I used a 10mm on the small bolts, 18mm on the factory frame bolts, and 19mm on the included bolts. An open ended wrench is needed for one of the brackets as there is not very much clearance for a ratchet.

Between the Mabett video, your photo and tips, I’ll try this next weekend. Will give myself 90 minutes before kickoff. Will post my experience.

Much like the Maverick, buying the first edition probably wasn't the best idea. Guess I'm off to Home Depot for bolts and weather stripping. 😬

Yeah, I feel the same way. I guess I should be glad I got the discount from the initial run, because I can use my discount to buy new hardware that doesn't rust. I probably should have waited for a newer version of the product rather than paying to be a beta tester. I like the functionality though.
